And you know, I never really liked Jessica with Nash. First of all, I
really hated that actor, whose name I have blocked from my memory, he
was so bad. (He played Scott Chandler a while back on AMC, too, and I
didn't like him then, either.) I'm sorry, but I think he is a truly
terrible actor. I never thought he and Jessica had any chemistry, I
never once believed that she would leave Antonio for him (and boy, was
I disappointed when she actually did), and I thought the way they had
Nash and Tess meet was a total cliche. I was thrilled when he got
killed off.
I really loved Brody's commitment to Shane and his desire to be a good
Dad. His not being Shane's biological dad was the only fly in the
ointment, so to speak. But there's no such fly and no such ointment
with Jessica. Nash won't be coming back to reclaim Jessica and Bree
(please God, let it be so), so he can be a dad to Bree, and even have
children with Jessica if the Gods of Soap Opera Land decree it.
As Captain Picard always said to the crew of the Enterprise, I say to
Carlivati: Make it so!
