Melissa Archer has been rocking it lately!

i am totally capable of being able to see and appreciate a woman's
beauty. I also am maybe a little unconventional in my tastes as i don't
care for people who are "too good-looking" (male of female) i.e. look
like a magazine cover. Of course soaps have no shortage of actors and
actresses cast for looks-over-talent.
I always liked how Melissa Archer doesn't resemble the "typical" soap
actress look. She's certainly not "fat" (though in soapworld the
standards are so impossible to measure up too...even Kathy Brier's
Marcie was in pretty good shape and looked pretty dang good for an
"overweight" character) but certainly she's much more curvy than what
one normally sees in soap casting. That always made Natalie more real
and relatable to me - she seemed so much like someone you would know in
real life.
But lately, i've picked up on how she has really just been looking
INCREDIBLE. It's like she's lost quite a bit of weight (or toned up or
something) but still not to where she looks unhealthy or crosses that
line into unnatural Barbie doll territory. Besides just looking really
good overall, it also seems like her wardrobe is better on the show AND
to top it all off she's been delivering some of her best performances
acting-wise.
All i can say is GO GIRL! She's looking better and knocking it out of
the park in her acting more than she ever has during her history on the
show.

I believe the word you may be looking for is voluptuous?
I think in 'Renaissance-art' terms there is another word, that is not
coming to mind, but the (European) standard of beauty during this time
is quite the full-figured female.
Does anyone else think that Kyle, while and attractive man, looks
somewhat older than Fish, as in "were they really the same age to be
in college together?".
If I had to guess, the actor playing Fish is probably under 30, maybe
28 or 29, but Kyle/actor, to me seems over 35, closer to 40.
Is it just me? (I'm told I look 10 years younger than my 53 year old

In real life, Scott (Fish) is 26 and Brett (Kyle) is 31. Closer in ages
than you were guessing but still giving each person a year leeway (27 vs
30) it's still a little bit of a difference in terms of college buds
unless Fish was an underclassman and Kyle an upperclassman.
Speaking of the looks of the gay characters' actors, not only do i
greatly appreciate that the gay characters are multi-faceted and are
well rounded characters on their own outside the gay stories, it's also
nice that each one is a different kind of attractive. Nick is more the
muscular type, Kyle is the more darker brooding in-shape but not gym-rat
look, and Fish is the cuter, fresh-faced cub type with a build that's
not as muscular (among the police staff, it's obvious he's more of the
techie than brute force) but absolutely beautiful in shirtless and
underwear/tank top scenes (i'm admit i'm crushing on him). Both Kyle
and Oliver can easily be described as adorable.

I noticed Natalie's very shapley curves a long time ago (and i'm a gay
guy as well- as most of you allready know). she looked damn good! It
was back when she was briefly married to Mitch and he had some nighty
he bought her to wear. I thought how great it was to see a lady with
curves- shapely. The way many healthy women in real life do look.

After i typed this i realized i could also have done the same joke with

Another joke rooted in history but you know in all fairness David
Fumero's acting has actually been really good lately - better than any
other time i can recall - betcha he's been taking some lessons or
getting some coaching.

After i posted this i went to the store and did my little in-the-line
reading through the soap mags and found an article in ABC Soaps In Depth
which was 20 random facts about JPL (which probably gave his publicist
some grey hairs as there were a few parts where he really came across
pretty shallow and self-centered) In one part he talked about his
favorite shows growing up saying he was a huge fan of You Can't do That
on Television. Now i no longer just want to throw pies at him; i want
to dump green slime on him!
It's so frustrating to watch him anymore - he was so good when he first
came on; he put a lot of layers in his performances...but for the last
several years he's just become a huge ham actor and combined with the
awful writing both his storyline and his character within it has
suffered this year all i can think of everytime he's onscreen is
"someone hit this guy with a pie" I think he just got so hooked on all
the accolades he was getting for awhile regarding his comic ability that
he just started mugging for the cameras more and over time got more
comfortable with that style of "acting" that i'm not even sure he's
capable of a real heartfelt, real, multi-layered scene. Not good when
they keep trying to give him serious frontburner male-lead stories.
Then all of a sudden it seemed like Scott Clifton was trying to copy his
acting style (which i bet he was told to do in order to plant seeds in
viewers' minds that they may be brothers or related) and when they're in
scenes together, they seem to be seeing who can "out-Rex" each other!
So everytime Oliver comes on (and man i am crushing on him big time), i
just keep thinking "Oliver needs a hug" and everytime Rex comes on i
automatically think "Rex needs a pie"

I have to admit- i've enjoyed David Fumero recently. He won huge
brownie points with me for coming to Oliver's defense with his
parents. He totally took it for him. And his acting was decent all at
the same time.
Also i must add- Layla has done so well during this SL. She is one i
used to really dislike but she's grown on me- maybe its the gay
storyline or maybe she has gotten better... a bit of both perhaps.
As soon as she declaired her "Super Power" was her "Gaydar"-- i think
that might have cemented it- i got such a chuckle.

"Manhattenites" starring him and the guy who played Nash and Ilene K.
(who plays Roxy) and i am seriously thinking of putting it on my
"Santa" list. Maybe he is decent in that too.

i hear ya. Whenever my guy and me see Oliver Fish on the screen
looking forlorn, it instantly emits an "awwwwwwwwww" from us.
totally sickening. the crush we have on that little cutie.

Melissa has only gotten more beautiful since she started the show.
She's always been a pretty girl.
