1. WHITE COAT, BLACK ART:
Saturday on White Coat, Black Art…it’s NOT hard to find something to
complain about in Canada’s health-care system. For instance, many
people have no family doctor…and those who do often have trouble
getting in to see them when they need to. It’s a problem made worse
by the panic over the H1N1 flu virus. On today’s episode, host Dr.
Brian Goldman looks at the innovative steps some general practitioners
are taking to provide quicker and better care. One of those
physicians is Dr. John Pawlovich of Fraser Lake, British Columbia.
He’ll be on the show to discuss how his clinic is now offering group
medical appointments.
Examining the redesign of family practices this week on White Coat,
Black Art with host Brian Goldman...Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (10:30 NT)
on CBC Radio One.
2. GO!:
This week, GO! is live from Edmonton. Host Brent Bambury is on the
hunt for the family with the MOST CBC love. You know the type:
they’ve got a dozen radios permanently welded to the CBC…they feel
they’re on a first name basis with Anna Maria. The kids listened to
Peter Gzowski while they were in the womb...and they can recite the
Vinyl Cafe's Christmas story - word for word. It’s a showcase of CBC
Radio nerds! But only ONE will be crowned the ULTIMATE CBC Family.
That’s on GO! with host Brent Bambury. Saturday at 10:30 a.m. (11 NT)
on CBC Radio One.
3. QUIRKS & QUARKS:
Canadian astronaut Julie Payette returned this past summer from her

program gave her a Quirks postcard to take with her on the Space
Shuttle, and on to the International Space Station. This week on
Quirks & Quarks, Payette will be in studio to give it back to host Bob
McDonald - after carrying it on a 10.5 million-kilometre journey.
She’ll also reveal another special memento she brought on the historic
space mission.

out of tune and out of touch…if he thinks that this sing-along pastime
hits any right notes. Then, the show lands a debate on air travel.
"Plane" speaking funnyman Al Rae tries to convince comic Graham Clark
that with Westjet flying so high…it wouldn't hurt Canadians if Air
Canada became grounded for good.

outwitting each other surrounded by sharp romantic tension. Claudio
and Héro see the chemistry between the duelling duo…and are determined
to make Béatrice and Bénédict recognize the true feelings within their
hearts.
Sir Colin Davis leads the Orchestre National de France. And featured
