They were quite entertaining, they hosted the costume contest, and I went to
their talk on Monday morning.
There's a detailed report on Ain't It Cool News, written by a friend of mine:

One more memorable Mike Nelson quote from the convention: When they were
hosting the costume contest, one of the acts was two very attractive women,
dressed as Supergirl and Wonder Woman, doing a sexy song-and-dance to "Lady
Marmalade." Afther their number, Mike said "There are weird and dirty things in
my head now!"

Yes, I was the one who asked the Jack Perkins question mentioned in that

Valid email address is not nearly so funny.
Thanks for this.
It was great to see the guys there. I'll note (for people who are
concerned about such things) that Mike and Kevin were willing to sign just
about anything and didn't charge a thing. As for the costume contest, and
I can see Dragoncon's point (time would also be a consideration), but it
would have been nice if a compromise could have been worked out. Like have
a detente for the little kids but open season on everybody else.

I think you're all operating under a fallacy here that Kevin and Mike wanted
to riff the contestants but the DragonCon staff stopped them.
Kevin and Mike seemed like fairly nice guys. I think they realized it
takes a lot of courage to get up on stage in front of 5000 people in some
outlandish outfit.
All in all, considering the ad lib nature of MCing an event like that, I
think they did pretty well.
Though in past years, people like Anthony Daniels and Peter David have done
a better job....
