Well, he was still alive eight minutes ago when he sent his last post to
this group...
Elsig, are you still in the vertical position?
David
Why does this thread suddenly remind me of Hawkeye's "death?"

Larry, if this is true, you will have to let us all know how to post
messages from the great beyond. This is a talent worth learning, just in
case.

Gee, I'm shocked and amazed this post came from WebTV. All-caps
headlines and all.
If it's true, I'd like to shake Larry's hand for being able to post from
beyond the grave.

Well, I sure hope LG can get some news to us sooner than Hawkeye managed to!

Of course, now Lord Larry can join the ranks of those writers who can say
"rumours of my death are greatly exaggerated".
Mind you, Mark Twain may have been a great writer, but Elsig knows how to
tell funnier stories. And long may that continue.
David
But how would Larry handle the topic of Tom Sawyer?
The Other Brad
On the other hand, if Larry decides not to post for few days, I'm gonna lose
the three remaining strands of hair I have left.

He'd have Hawkeye and Trapper trick Frank into whitewashing a fence (or
something similar)!

I checked in with CNN as well as the local news. Nothing at all said about what
I hope is a sick joke.

Was it our humming of the Luxembourg National Anthem that did
the trick?
That joke proves that Larry is alive and well! Glad to hear you're
still among the living, Elsig.

That's ok. I just said "I told you so" before I read *this* post, so I guess
we're even.
Abyssinia,
Barrie
Nothing to do with Python. Larry was paraphrasing an exchange from his
own M*A*S*H era.
From "A Full Rich Day," A soldier from Luxembourg, believed to be dead,
but is actually recooperating in post-op, hears his country's national
anthem and, despite the fact that he's in partial traction, he gets out of
bed and marches to the sound of the music saluting all the while.
Everyone is astounded. then Hawkeye says, "I thought you said he was
dead," to which Trapper replies, "He got better,"
The Other Brad
Hey! Larry is really Mr. Spock!
Thanks for the great classic show Larry but how do we know it's really
you? Or, since this must be old news to the regulars, how did the group
verify it was you?
Mike
Well, when he mentions he posts to this group to a reporter doing an
interview on the release of the season DVD's and other questions, its
safe to say that the LG who posts is the real LG.
That to me was proof enough, but pretty much trusted the others before
me to know the facts. (Fairly new here, but not badly so.)

Well Damn Larry, at least share the fifth with a few friends.
Good to know you're not dead... Or even mostly dead... We'd hate to have to
take you to see Billy Crystal.
Dig back through Google; we had a long (and amusing) discussion along
those lines a couple of months ago...

The preponderance of circumstantial evidence has been sufficient for us.
