IT'S A BOY!!!

Weekend has finally had her baby. It was a week late, and was born
12.10am on December 29. He was 9 pounds 2 ounces, and 54 centimetres
long. He's a very big boy!!! I'm racing out to see her tomorrow, and
taking a giant Winnie The Pooh teddy bear that I bought for him. I
can't wait.

My birthday is January 7, so I know what it's like having a birthday close to
christmas ~~ no one has ever pulled the "here's your birthday/christmas gift"
thing, but people do tend to forget about it b/c of the hustle and bustle of
the holidays.

My neice Kelly (she gave birth 3 months ago) has a birthday on December
27th. In effect, what she gets isChristmas presents not birthdday presents.

My sister's first was 9lb 7oz, 22in. and she had to go C-section... she
wouldn't dilate.
Yikes! I hurt thinking about it!!!!

That sucks!! My birthday is on D-Day. No one ever gets my b-day confused with
that holiday, thank God!!

visited mother and child today after driving an 11hr round trip
(5.5hrs there, 5.5hrs back). OK then, here are all the stats:
First Name: Joseph
Middle Name: Carl
Time Of Birth: 12.10am
Date Of Birth: December 29, 1999
Duration Of Labour: approx 14 hours (I'm glad it was her and not me)
Birth Weight: 9 pounds 2 ounces (which converts to approx. 4.2 kilos)
Length: 54 cm
Head Circumference: 36 cm (again, I'm glad it was her and not me)
Method Of Delivery: Normal, no C-section required, but she did require
a lot of stitches. I didn't ask exactly how many.
Distinguishing Features: lots of dark brown hair, blue eyes (when
they're open), squiggy nose, pixie ears, pudgy face, very long fingers
and feet.
Cute Factor: What can I say? Taking an absolutely bias stand, he's
just the most adorable little thing I've ever seen!!! And from a
totaly unbias stand, he's just the most adorable little thing I've
ever seen!!!!
Spoilt Factor: He's going to be the most spoilt little boy in history
I think, not that I'm going to spoil him wrotten (not half - hee hee
hee).
