Friday I did lunchwith two of my local frineds, Neil & Ted. Neil is the
owner of the Family Tree bookstore & Ted has a stainglass studio. Ted is
taking chemotherapy for his cancer. He brought along his wife. It was a
pleasent timout for all involved.

Christmas day My brother drove me to Greensboro(15 miles from Easton
where I live)for the annual Christmas gettogether at my sister's. Also my
other brother came as well as two of my neices and their children. Sarah
Michelle Fazenbaker, age 3 months made her first appearence. Besides the
presents I brought for my family I also took along a lare checker game to
play with during the afterdinner period.

We opened all the presnts ( I got 5 videos, two pairs of bluejeans and
various undergarments as well as 3 handheld games.) Amanda,my other
grandneice, liked the Dr. Suess book I got her. This was luckey on my part
because I thoughtshe might be either too young or too
old for it. As it was she was the right age(6) and a Dr. Suess fan to
boot! We sat down to eat and I might be a blooming idiot but this time
there was no blooming onion! :-(

After the dinner dishes ere cleared away I got out my large checker
game, the board is made up of a coarsely woven mat and the checkers are
large plastic ones. I played a game of regular checkers and a game of
Kings with my brother Richard and then a game with the aforementioned
Amanda. You may or may not find this hard to beleive but 6 year old
Amanda beat me!!!

I then went upstairs to use my sister's computer. There was a freenet
(and this freenet was really free!) that I wanted to look up. All I had
to do was fill in their onlineform, print out their release statement &
send it to them via snailmail. However, the Gods of cyberspace was giving
me the finger that day. It would not take my password or login. :-( I
hwever, on a different matter, had some luck. I downloaded& printed ouut
a 7 page file on Julia Louis-Dryfus from her Saturday Night Live days.

All-in-all (with the exception of me losing my Blackjack game) a very
nice Christmas. The highlight was me seeing my two grandneices & playing
with Amanda. How was your Xmas day?

It sounds like a pretty good Christmas for you. My Christmas started
on Wednesday, when I drove around 500km to visit some of my closest
friends (although not so close distance wise) is a smallish country
town where I used to live. One of my friends was due to have her
first child on the Wednesday, which would have been a great early
Christmas present for everyone. Unfortunately, as first children have
a habit of doing, it didn't arrive, and today almost a week after her
due date, we're still waiting. I stayed away until Christmas Eve,
then drove back.

Christmas morning I got up around 9am, did the present opening thing
with my parents, then got ready to go out for lunch. Each year my
parents and I do a different thing for Christmas lunch. Last year, we
had lunch in the revolving restaurant in Centrepoint Tower, which is
one of the highest buildings in Sydney. The view was great! This
year, I took my parents on a lunch cruise around Sydney Harbour. I
was a bit worried when I woke because the weather looked terrible, but
as we drove into the city (around 30 - 45 minutes) the weather
cleared. Luckily for us, it turned out to be a really nice day on the
water. The sun shone, and the water was nice and calm. The food was
great, and a good time was had by all.

For Christmas I was given a few small things, being a Winnie the Pooh
fan I got some Pooh things, but the major present that just blew me
away was a signed, framed photo of our very own Helen Hunt!!!!!!!!!!!
It's so cool!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!

My very spoilt, but very loveable dog was given a new toy rope, a new
water bowl, and some all natural beef free treats (he's allergic to
beef and dairy products!!!) I think I can safely say that he had a
good day as well.

I hope everyone else had a good day too.

My parents gave it to me, my mother organised it. Don't ask me how, I
wouldn't have a clue, but she's the organising queen. Ask and she
shall deliver (or she'll give it a good go), she said she tried to get
Paul as well, but she's still working on him, and may have it for my
birthday in April, here's hoping.
