o/t - Has Anyone Refused to Meet Obama?
On the radio this morning they were saying that Mel Brooks was to receive some award at the White House from President George W Bush but refused to attend [because of politics]. I was wondering if anyone has refused to meet with Obama?

o/t - Can a Person's Natural Born Citizenship Be Revoked?
Does Congress have the authority to revoke the citizenship of a natural born US citizenship? Wasn't that done for those who fought for the Confederacy? I know that a naturalized US citizen can have their citizenship revoked.

o/t - Why Do the Victims Have to Press Charges?
On my daily walk I requent a mom & pop grocery store. Yesterday they told me that the wife's cell phone was stolen. They cater to the high school lunch hour crowd. The store has a security camera so they saw who took it. They called up the school and spoke to the police cop. They got the phone back and the boy got suspended.... more »

Capital Crimes
I take the expression "capital crimes" to mean a crime worthy of the death penalty. Some think that "cruel and unusual" in Amendment VIII includes capital punishment regardless of the form of execution. But Amendment V mentions capital crime though it does not specify what is a capital crime. But simply using the term does that not imply that... more »

o/t - Brown vs White At the Store
I went to Walmart this morning. The cash register clerk was a brown female in her 20s. The person ahead of me in line was a brown female in her 20s. She paid with two $20 bills. The clerk closely examined the bills. Holding it up to the light etc.. I paid with a $20 bill. No problem at all. The clerk did not check it... more »

What Crimes Could George W Bush Be Charged With Now?
What crimes could George W Bush be charged with now here in the USA for what he did while POTUS? I'm not talking about international war crimes before the Hague but only here in the USA and not in another country. He's out of public office so he can not be impeached.

11 Embassy Attacks Under George W Bush
60 killed or wounded Right now I'm listening to the Karel radio show on KGO. Karel gave the above stats and listed the dates and the embassies. However Karel did not say whether any American citizens were victims in these attacks. ++++++++++ Unlike the 4 US citizens who were killed under Obama in Benghazi.... more »

OT "If not for Congress, they would still lead us to believe it was a video gone awry."
[link] "We're portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots," said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. "It's actually closer to us being idiots."... more »

Umbrella-Gate
On the radio they're talking about the marine holding an umbrella over Obama. One person said it was against the Marine code of conduct for the Marine to have done so.

Who do you believe O.J. or his ex-lawyer
...testified to. It was a "he said he said." And who did you believe. Let's see a murderer (convicted in civil court) now serving 33 years for armed robbery, or his ex-lawyer? I think I'll vote for the murderer. I don't think a lawyer is capable of telling the truth. But, I have no doubt given the level of proof needed,... more »
