How come Law & Order can't get fantastic actresses like her?

I'm starting to think not. In "Gov Love," which was on TNT the other
day, her reactions to McCoy's proposal to have the court overturn the
New Paltz gay marriages couldn't have made it clearer that she was gay.

I don't recall the EP, all I recall is (to me)on her last show that
lesbian as listed above "came out of left field".
In retrospect. I took a look through some postings from back then and
there seems to be almost universal surprise.
This article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serena_Southerlyn might
dredge up some old feelings for Rohm and has something to say about
her exit and the likelihood that she was a lesbian.

Yes, it's easy after she says the line to read lots into what happened
before. But unless people were thinking the character was a lesbian
before the Big Reveal, then there's no proof that what came before was a
tip-off.
You're right, she might have a relative or friend who is gay, so she can
see the need for marriage. Or yes, she could simply see the point to it
and believe in it.

She married some guy named Ron Wooster a couple of years back with a
kid on the way. I think she decided her character was a lesbian to
explain to herself why her character was that agitated about gay
marriage. Of course her character was actually the liberal one to
contrast with her conservative predecessor.

So? Lots of gays have dated members of the opposite sex, because they're
still in the closet, because they're in denial, or whatever.

What does Christine Keeler's friend have to do with it? If Phil Ochs
handn't done a song about them, I'd not have a clue who Mandy Rice Davies
is.
