On tv and radio! Aren't we lucky? First about the Secretary of State
and later about the "fiscal cliff".

You left out the funeral of Senator Inouye.

And next month you get both the inaugural speech and the State of the
Union speech.

You better be sure to monitor your blood pressure!

As for the fiscal cliff, when the republican speaker of the house cannot
even deliver enough votes to pass his own plan in the house, we are
surely ready to fall off the cliff

Now if it was W. you'd be jumping for joy that he was on twice, you'd
be slamming anyone who complained about W.

I probably wouldn't be watching Mr Bush either. But I might be slamming
those who resorted to personal insults like calling him "the chimpster"
etc..

I think the last state-of-the-union speech I listened to with great
attention was that of Mr Nixon. I remember he wanted to reorganize the
cabinet into 5 or 6 super departments. I liked that idea but it came to
naught.

My proudest vote for POTUS was for Mr Nixon for his second term. The
voting age had been lowered to 18. That was my first election.
