I can't recall ever seeing an ep with a guilty plea.

What happens if someone pleads guilty at the arraignment? When do
they get sentenced? Anyone know?

well the ones who plead guilty don't make the show and sentencing is at a
later date as usual in regular cases.

There have been a couple, though I can't come up with ep names.

The plea is accepted and a date set for sentencing.

There were a couple of cases where the DA demanded that they tell all
about how they did it and we got to see that.

The other day I saw an ep about a child molester. He had kidnapped a
boy and held him for several years. The boy then suffered from the
Stockholm Syndrom.

The boy grew too old so the perp kidnapped a new younger boy.

The older boy killed the younger one jealous of being replaced.

When the child molester was ultimately arrested he confessed to the
killing wanting to spare the boy but he had the details wrong so Jack
knew he didn't do it.

The confession didn't take place in the courtroom though but rather in
an interview room.

I think there were a few cases on the L&Os in which the accused did
plead guilty but the plot was daddy or mommy taking the fall for
his/her kid. I can't name an episode but I think that happened in the
L&O Franchise a few times at least that is the vague feeling I have.
