The Fox Sunday schedule is:
September through mid-January:
7:00 - on NFL doubleheader days (there are nine of them), Fox airs the
postgame show until 8:00 Eastern out east, and if they do what they
have done in the past, probably air repeats of "Are You Smarter Than A
Fifth Grader?" episodes aired during the summer in the west; on
non-doubleheader days, they'll probably air repeats, although I
wouldn't be surprised to see Fox burn off the six remaining "King of
the Hill" episodes here
8:00 - The Simpsons
8:30 - The Cleveland Show
9:00 - Family Guy
9:30 - American Dad
Mid-January through May:
7:00 - repeat of something
7:30 - American Dad
8:00 - The Simpsons
8:30 - some new live-action comedy
9:00 - Family Guy
9:30 - The Cleveland Show

Good move. There's not a great deal on at that time, so I can see people
checking out those shows even if it's something they don't usually
watch. Especially if SNL is not good (and I think that may happen from
time to time B^).

Did they make a real series finale episode for KotH, or is it going to
cut off in mid-sto...

I think Luanne's wedding was meant to be the final episode - somebody
(I think it was Mike Judge) said the last episode would end the way
the first one began; with Hank ("Yep"), Dale ("Yep"), Boomhauer
("Mmm-hmm"), and Bill ("Yep") drinking beers in the alley.
There are six episodes remaining, although I have heard that Fox has
not "licensed" four of them yet.

Isn't that, um....*every* episode?

Really, this past Sunday's episode had an awfully "final" type feel to
the ending, I thought. The guys in the alley, drinking beers - "We
were good neighbors and we did the right thing - that's what matters."
"Yep" / "Yep"...then the fadeout to "Only in America" by Brooks & Dunn
(I think) over the credits. Almost seemed like "just in case"
insurance for if Fox decides not to run the remaining few (or burn
them off in some timeslot where nobody sees 'em).

Wanday Sykes? Can we just cut to the chase and cancel that show
pre-emptively?

Also, they finally "confirmed" Boomhauer's first name (I read
somewhere that it was mentioned in a KOTH video game once).

Usually, just three of them say it, and then the fourth says something
else (usually involving the plot).

To expand on that thought, I just ran across this.

"LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX isn't done with "King of the
Hill" just yet.
Network and studio sources have confirmed that between two and six
installments of the series will serve as its official swan song next
season.
The news marks the latest chapter in the show's tumultuous golden
years. Originally capped at 202 episodes - "Lucky's Wedding Suit," the
last episode produced during said run was conceived at the time as a
series finale - FOX subsequently ordered two additional 20-episode
production cycles (BABE and CABE) before asking for a final lap of 13
episodes (DABE) in April of 2008."
