Great gig - I went a bit daft with me camera and took a couple of
hundred photos.

Have any other than the original HL flick been well received? I
mean ... really? Even the original ... uh ... not universally
acclaimed ... I mean ... I never even heard of it until I got into
HL:TS.

You always get great pics, Jette. Has JB offered you a gig as his
official concert photographer yet? (Would that be your dream job? <g>)

Heh - I could only do it if he paid for my airfare - which he couldn't
afford either!

At least among my friends and co-workers, the original HL movie (AKA
HL1) was better known than HL:TS. At least before they knew me; they
are now familiar with both. ;)
Most of the pop cultural references that I hace seen that are
recognizable as one or the other tend to be movie-specific. The Daily
Show, for instance, has shown the still of Connor in tartan from the
first movie. Robot Chicken's HL skit with Lohan spoofed the first
movie, complete with Ramirez and the Kurgan.
Of course, my circle of friends, co-workers, and TV shows may be
biased in favor of people like me. ;)
