In a coma sounds almost right. In all fairness though, a lot of budgets
really took a big hit and lots of projects got put on hold or cancelled
entirely.
HBO films funded a project that shot partially in my neighborhood. It took 3
years from the shooting to when it will finally be released. I have no idea
about how long it takes to release a feature film, just seems long.
The film is "A Dog Year" starring Jeff Bridges and it will premier on HBO
September 3rd. There was some conjecture whether the film would be a
theatrical release or go directly to TV. Now I'm waiting to see how it
finally came together. The neighborhood had a great time with the cast and
crew during rehearsals and shooting. We're planning a block party for the
premier.
