at a dance academy - ballet dancers wannabes are called bunheads.

Kelly Bishop is one of the leads, playing the mother of the lead
actress, Laur -- err, Sutton Foster. Foster is an amazing Tony-winning
actress whose casting just makes me assume that we're going to see
lots of snappy banter between her and Bishop.

It's more or less "Miss Patty's Dance Studio: The Series."
