The Disney scum in charge of ABC Family have been muting out words in
their GG reruns. The other day, they bleeped out "dime bag" (and
killed the whole line in the closed-captioning) when Lorelai said
someone had sold her a dime bag at the Sadie Hawkins dance. I found
the line with Google easily enough.

Tonight's episode, "The Big One" has Paris asking Rory, "Why'd you use
these fonts?" Rory replies, "Because I was on the _______." Line
killed in CC again. I can't see Rory saying "on the rag," but it's
possible. No one seems to have reproduced this line in any Internet
discussions. Anyway, anyone remember the line?

She said, "Because I was on the crack."

RORY: Mine. [hands Paris her speech]

PARIS: Good. Let's read. Why did you use this font?

RORY: Because I was on the crack.

Why would she say "THE crack"? I've only heard it call simply "crack."
Don't know who the writer was, but it seems like someone would have caught
that. Unless it was just a "typo" by Alexis and the director didn't want to
do another take.

It's a drug reference. I can understand while a "Family" channel
would bleep it out.

Remember GG airs in the daytime hours.

Becausa maybe when she drove to school she drove there on the 93?

California has this thing where they put "The" in front of every
highway so maybe they had to do that for drug references too?

It was indeed "the crack" and I think that type of term is of the same
syntax that produced "The O.C." (The term, not the show.)

Yeah, me too, I guess. I just like saying "Disney scum."

It wasn't bleeped out the last time they ran the episode in
syndication. I'm sure I would have remembered that. In fact, once I
was reminded of the line, I think I remembered it ... from watching
then.

Thanks to those of you who answered the query!
