There are a number of Dukes inside jokes on Gilmore Girls. Not the
least of which being that, in the second episode, Lorelai wears Daisy
Dukes to Rory's prep school Chilton because she forgot to do laundry
the night before. Also, like Daisy, she drives a Jeep.
