Exclusive: 'Gilmore' gal Kelly Bishop checks into 'Mercy'
16 December 2009

It's a "Gilmore Girls" mother-daughter reunion on NBC! Sources confirm to me
exclusively that beloved Gilmore matriarch Kelly Bishop has booked a
multi-episode arc on "Mercy." She'll play a patient of Sonia's (Jamie Lee
Kirchner) named Elaine. Where does the Gilmore reunion part come in, you
ask? Well, Bishop's TV offspring, Lauren Graham, is also starring on a
Peacock drama, "Parenthood." And although Bishop's first airdate is Tbd (To
be determined), there's a good chance both actresses will be appearing on
NBC at the same time. And in my book * that constitutes a reunion. *

- Michael Ausiello

According to this week's EW, Kelly with have a three-episode
appearance -- "I play another wealthy woman," she says, "but this one is
suffering from ALS." Emmy voters, take notice.

There is nothing on IMDb about her appearance, yet. No info about
future "Mercy" episodes, either.

Can we stretch that contention any further?

There is no way on this planet you can call that a reunion.

That's Ausiello stretching things a bit just to goof around. 'Cause
he's a Gilmore fan.
