The character is a bore, and the actress, who plays the character can't act. Go back to Llanview and send someone else back. :)

I never thought she was that great a singer... they did a high school musical, I think.

Yes, she can sing. NO she is not a great singer/performer. It was the
plot, that she was being courted to record for some scummy producer.
Obviously her plot would be different here.
I'm not a long time fan of OLTL, but my understanding is this woman
was there since a pretty young age, so many viewers or fans watched
her grow up and

that's kinda special. Certainly there would be some young actor on
GH, that fans would have similar feelings to?

While I wouldn't want Starr to just go away, I do have to question
what is so special about Sonny? Almost anything you say about Starr
could be said about him too.

love mcbain, starr not so much though i was watching oltl when she was born and for a few years after that. i just find her character, as written on gh, to be boring. as for sonny, there are a few of us who would like him to go far, far away and never come back. he's a pig. and those who appreciate good acting pretty much agree that maurice benard - sonny - is a lousy actor.

Yes, Starr did mean something. The demise of the show IMO. The
recast I was hoping for through the years never came. It became
obvious she had lifetime job security, although no one ever knew why.
And now that security has actually outlived the show! So here she is
on GH. Yes, there was a young actor on GH that fans watched grow up.
But Robin didn't have a face that would stop a clock.

Robin. She's been played by the same actress since she (Robin) was 5 years
old. That's why she didn't really die in the hospital fire. They have to
leave the door open to come back.

Starr might not be so totally obnoxious if she had a line other than "Sonny
killed my child and boyfriend!" She has no evidence that Sonny did
anything. All she knows is that the lying scum Anthony Zacchara, who hates
Sonny's guts, SAID that Sonny shot out his tires.

Yes, we like McBain much better. They can send all the other crossovers back
to Llanview (or wherever OLTL was set) and we'll keep McBain. They need to
hurry up and get rid of his wife/girlfriend that he keeps calling to free
him up for a possible romance with Sam or someone else.

They're not only not sending Starr (or McBain) back, they're bringing more over! Tea Delgado (lawyer, for whom, I don't know), Natalie and Liam (McBain's wife and son)are the names I've read so far. And, of course, Todd's coming back as well. I remember Tea and Natalie, barely, and I always liked Todd so I don't know how I feel about it all. Mostly I agree with you: keep McBain and lose the others.

Tea is sort of an odd choice. She was married to NuTodd (later revealed
as "Victor"). But it's original recipe Todd who will becoming to PC. I
do like the character, which is more than I can say for Nat.

I've been wondering if the producers haven't had so much screen time
together to test them as a potential couple.

There are some AMC characters I wouldn't mind seeing - but please, NO
RYAN LAVERY! That character was loathsome, and the actor playing him,
while apparently a very nice man, is not a very good actor.

OLTL was my favorite soap when it was cancelled, but I don't know how GH fans can stand being force fed days on end of
Starr's screeching, because knowing her character doesn't make it any better either. I FF most of her scenes. She's as
boring as Sonny, repeating the same lines all the time. The writers are going to make her the most detestable character
on GH if they keep this up, because there are some people who like Sonny.

double dose of *obnoxious* as strong as Todd and Sonny every day is too much for me. :) Would like to see Blair come
back to be a friend to Carly... I enjoyed their scenes together.

Sam does her best, but it's hard to have chemistry with a rock. ;) I'm glad McBain is staying too.

I like Todd because he isn't the least bit intimidated by Sonny. My problem with watching Todd is that too many of his scenes are with Starr and the more I see/listen to her, the more I really don't like her.

Carly and Blair did seem to hit it off and we've always thought Carly should have a female friend. I thought it would be Olivia when she first came on but nothing real ever came of that, especially after Olivia took Jax's side a time or two. Carly and Sam had a good scene together a few days ago but Carly's too jealous of Jason for that to turn into a friendship. And without Jason in the mix, Sam and Carly just have nothing in common.

It IS nice to see someone stand up to Sonny, but after awhile Todd's macho crap will be as wearing as Sonny's. ;)

True... jealousy over Jason would keep that relationship from going anywhere. Blair and Carly have so much in common,
both can't break their ties to their amoral ex-husbands, yet know what they are.

All I know, is if they don't get Starr off-screen 75% of the time, they're going to run away more viewers than they

Carly has only had one friend in the entire time she has lived in Port
Charles and that was Courtney. The only reason Courtney could be friends
with her is that since she was Sonny's sister, she was no threat to Carly
for Sonny's affections. Every other woman who has passed through Sonny's
orbit seemed to draw Carly's wrath, even if she had no interest in Sonny.
Even though Courtney was, ostensibly, Carly's friend, that did not preclude
Carly screwing her over and sabotaging Courtney's wedding to Jax.

I rarely watch GH, even with some of my folks from OLTL coming over,
but since reading this discussion, I would have to say I agree with
you all:

Starr is pretty one dimensional (she wasn't always this way back at
home though, imho), and should either go, or have her role very
diminished.

I think Blair and Carly should team up and stick it to their creepy
men!

I always thought McBain deserved a lot better than Natalie - I like
the actress enough - I've seen her grow - but I can't stand how she
used him.

Sam and McBain sound very interesting to me!

As far as Todd and nu-Todd, what about a 3 way battle between them
and Sonny, now that might be better than watching paint dry!

NuTodd, now known as Victor, is alive. That was revealed in the final
scene of OLTL. Presumably, had the show continued online, there would
have been some kind of storyline to reveal he wasn't dead.

A long-time character, who is crazy, had Victor tied up and stashed in
some hotel room. We don't know how he ended up there. The last time we
saw Victor he was bleeding out on the floor of his home from a gunshot
wound. Tea was there, and he was pronounced dead.

Todd had had flashbacks to shooting Victor, and the evidence pointed to
Todd.

I'd like to see Victor's return, but the actor had wanted out of the
role, before OLTL's demise was announced, so who knows if he'd even want
to reprise it on anything but perhaps a cameo.

Yes, I saw the final scene on OLTL, of course. I heard that the scene
was shot much in advance of what they knew the final plot lines to be,
so in essence it was a throw-away, and 'canon' aspects are not for
sure. But it aired, and it looks good. Soap actors have a hard time
breaking out to other roles, movie or TV, so the actor may have to go
with the jobs he is offered - if such an opportunity arose, to bring
'Victor' back to the screen
