I enjoyed today's episode for the most part, more than I've enjoyed some of them lately.

Anna's scenes with Luke and Elizabeth were very touching. Finola is an incredible actress.

John McBain is fast becoming a favorite for me and I loved seeing him stand his ground with "anger boy's" tough stance. Way to go, Jase. Nice appreciation to the man who just saved your wife's life! I guess it should come as no surprise at all that Jason is more concerned with Sonny than he is with Sam. I don't know how they're going to pull off having McBain stay permanently in PC but it would be nice to have a cool, calm, efficient cop on the PCPD again!

Starr's and Michael's scenes were fodder for the FF button.

Kate's scenes of pleading with Sonny showed what a complete thug he is. He supposedly loves this woman but he can't put his anger aside for a few minutes to hear her out. He's a selfish moron who's apparently never heard of "DID" or "split personality". The thing is if/when he comes around, he'll just make it all about himself since Kate basically told him he's the cause. Then he'll carry on as if he invented DID!

I liked the scenes with Delores and Lulu and Dante too.

PJ -- I was going to submit a post titled Asshole of the Week and ask folks to vote between Jason and Sonny for the title, but you've described them both so well. Weren't we all told that the new management at GH was going to improve the writing and story lines?

From my point of view, both have gone downhill and adding actors and actresses from other soaps will just mean longer waits between story lines.

Jim from Hilton Head who wonders whether Deloris' husband Eddie will ever get another scene.

Is Eddie still sitting in jail?? Maybe I missed him getting out on bail but I expected him to be in cell next to Dante.

Good point. I've noticed that the "Soaps in Depth" magazine has
combined all three networks into one magazine (not much choice at this
point). So what is ABC planning to do now, combine all three shows
into one? Do they think it will bring in viewers who were left high
and dry? Yes, it was a shock when the cancellations were first
announced, and there was denial and hope for a last minute save. But
we all survived and have moved on (AFAIK). Really. We don't need to
see characters from the other two shows showing up in Sonny's world.
Let GH stand on its own, and let AMC and OLTL RIP.

Amen, I have always liked her and am hoping they have her stick around for a
while.

He is the only one of the OLTL imports that I even want to see. It might
not have been so bad if they had just brought them on like any other new
characters and gradually revealed whatever we needed to know about them, but
the writers seemed to feel they had to bring all the GH viewers up to speed
on everything that happened on OLTL. We didn't need to know all that at
once.

Yup. All of Starr's scenes have been for me. I'm still waiting for them to
give her another line.

Well, it is hard for me to give Sonny credit for anything, other than being
a completely self centered ass, but, really, if your significant other
suddenly popped up with, "I've got another personality who has done
everything you find offensive about me," wouldn't it take a while to accept
that? On the other hand, wasn't it Alexis who got off on a murder charge
because of DID, or am I mixing her up with someone else? I know someone in
PC had it.

I'm also wondering if they are going to remake Connie's history again to
give us some trauma that made her dissociate. Normally, just making a
better life for yourself and changing your name doesn't cause that. Do you
think they are going to change history again and claim that SHE gave birth
to Dante and left him to Olivia to raise, and now she is traumatized over
that?

Agreed. Hope she stays on for a long while. 'Though I must say I'm not
too happy with the way Luke Spencer has been side-lined as a hand
wringing cheerleader. The Luke I know and love would have introduced his
boot to his nancy boy son-in-law's backside and saved Lulu himself.

I like McBain, too, and wouldn't mind if he stayed in PC. Jason has
passed his sell-by date and is just...tiresome. He's as dysfunctional as
Heather, and Sonny is his Steven Lars. <snort>

As always.

Probably because he's never had it, so it doesn't exist.

Yes, and no doubt come down with a sympathetic case of it, treating us
to double the bad acting.

>I liked the scenes with Delores and Lulu and Dante too.

I'd like to see Dante ride off into the sunset with Delores (or anyone
else) and Lulu start acting like a Spencer instead of Boring Wife of
Dante.
