"Mommie did something bad?"
"What?"
"Nothing."
He'll be wondering about that one for years. As well as wondering why
she's obviously lying to him about not being upset.
Then again, her fantasies that she's an unworthy mother because of her
sex life is so 1950s. Even if Lucky found out and sued for custody,
wouldn't he have to show she was harming the kids? I don't think a
sexual relationship would stand up as grounds for taking away her kids,
whereas Lucky's drug addiction might have, had she tried back then.

How about when she told Cam that she doesn't deserve him (or them)?
WTF?! What kind of mother says that to her children? I can't stand
her. I hate how she tried turning the tables on Rebecca and making it
about Rebecca. Liz is the scumbag doing what she's doing. I hope
Rebecca gets to tell Lucky and blows Liz's world apart.

My hatred of Liz is well documented, although I have to say that Rebecca is
as big a scumbag as Liz. If Rebecca had any honor, she'd either tell Lucky

the wrong thing to do. But no, she's not going to tell if Nik gets her
"another chance with Lucky." That's just twisted!

This was really lame. You DON'T talk to a 5 year old about your own sex
life to begin with beyond a simple explanation of how babies come to be when
a female around them is pregnant. To allude to sexual infidelity was just
plain stupid.
It must be hard sometimes as an actor to have to make your character say or
do things that seem totally wrong or bizarre!

And of course, there is the issue that Lucky isn't even Jake's father, let
alone Cameron's.
At any rate, I am so over her. I thought when they switched Luckys that
the Nik storyline might be dropped. But it looks like it's going to be
dragged
on and on until the Sonny plotline actually looks better by comparison.

She remarried him before the baby was born so legally he is the baby's
father. I can't remember if she knew yet who was Jake's daddy when they
got married, but she knew that there was a chance he was Jason's.

She knew. We all blasted her then for accepting Lucky's proposal without
telling him. And then she wouldn't sleep with Lucky for a long time after
they got married.
So why is it that Liz has frigidity issues when she's with Lucky, but she's
just fine with Nik or Jason or Zander or anyone else she shouldn't actually
be sleeping with?
Ruby
I think she needs a good psych doctor. To me it's like she is making
all the men she cares about pay for her rape as a teen. She doesn't
really make any of them happy. She does her best to make them
miserable. Jason can't claim his kid, Lucky she sleeps around on,Nick
is the tortured brother. sorry but I just don't see the appeal.
I'm not comparing myself to Elizabeth per se but I understand a bit of
the syndrome. My father died in a terrible accident when I was 13 and
now (at 59) I don't think I'm over it yet. I adored him. The one man
in my life (my first husband) was a "Lucky" type - good, honorable,
loved me to death and I ended up not wanting him and going for the "bad
boys" - unavailable for one reason or another. Sorry for the Freud
Session but I suspect for me it's abandonment issues. For Elizabeth it
might be self-punishment (women who blame themselves for their own
rapes). While one may not like the actor or how the character is
portrayed I think her behavior can be seen as consistent with her
trauma, especially after 10 years or whatever, if that's what the
writers are going for.

That makes a lot of sense. But while I feel empathy for you and your
situation, I just can't wrap my mind around TIIC of GH being anywhere
near that deep. Scratch the surface of Liz's story and I don't think
you'll find anything there. If they would devote a little time showing
Liz's *black clouds* rather than just having her jump Nik's bones
every time she sees him, maybe I'd give her a break. But so far it
appears to be simply selfishness and lust.
PJ
I think it's good that they've tried to give some background
underpinning about how Liz past might be affecting this...
But...I won't buy it (yet)
My view (unpopular, of course) is that she's being amazingly stupid
and self absorbed and deserves the s storm that's going to hit her.
And, Nik deserves even more...Liz is just trashing her relationship
with Lucky. Nik IMO is trashing *both* his relationship with Lucky
that he worked so hard at and allowing a woman he claims to love to
wreck her life.
