"I'll take Robair Mackey to block." (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

This isn't a moderated newsgroup - anyone can post anything here (read: we are
a soft target for spammers). However as a general principle if you post things
that people don't like reading then you won't make too many friends too
quickly.

Things people, in general, don't like, include, but are not limited to:

1) Gratuitous insults, particularly to game shows.
2) Serious, systematic spelling and grammar haemorrhage.
3) "Me too" postings (quote 200 lines and add "Me too" at the end).
4) Lots and lots of short postings (every message has a .6K header).
5) Ridiculously long posts, especially binaries.
6) Postings with very little to do with game shows (hey, like this one! Oops!)

Some people have to download every jing-bang thing posted to the newsgroup onto
their own computers and it takes time and money. I'm one of them.

However all told we're a caring sharing sort of group and generally pretty good
at this sort of thing. After a while, you build up a sort of tolerance, because
ALL SORTS of things come down the line from the newsgroup...
...which is why we like it so muuch!

Can you stick this in the FAQ, please, John?
