I got in to part of the show, but not until 11:30 EST or so.
Maybe he'll stump himself.

Sooooo....Why is Geoff not a Barris fan and how did the infamous Lin
Bolen ruin "Jackpot!" I missed the show.... :(
So did I, but anyway...
1. Judging by his comments on some other web sites, it seems Geoff thought
Chuck was becoming a little too cruel with the contestants. Example: he
planned to give away *parts* of cars if the show had come back in 1977 -- like
the windshield.
2. Read Steve Beverly's column on Jackpot in his archives. After a dip in the
ratings, Bolen decided to get rid of the Jackpot riddles and use Hollywood
Squares-type questions instead. They figured out it wouldn't work about
halfway through the first show in the new format.

that undoubtedly sounds like Vintage Barris:) I don't know why but Chuck made
some of the most entertaining shows ever....I mean who can't remember classics
like The Gong show or the Newlywed game THAT MAN IS A GENIUS IMHO!

Jackpot with the riddles is about as good as seeing Julia Child in a itsy bitsy
teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini!

Peter Marshall: It used to be called 9-pin what's it called today?

Anyone know if it's going to pick up more stations in the near
future? I live in Toronto and would love to hear it...I can also
pick up radio stations from Buffalo if it's going to air there.
I can't get it off my computer because I only access this stuff
from work and we don't have capabilities.
Anyone know of any plans for more stations in the future?

For those who attended GSC'(9)8 in Cleveland 2 years ago, Geoff had
addressed both of those questions somewhat when he was one of our
phone-in guests.
