Nothing was cut from the Xmas episode in order to get it broadcast.  We
voluntarily tried to keep the violence comedic (like the diaper truck
explosion), but that's a matter of our own sense of what tone of the show
should be.

I agree that the episode seems pretty tame (violence-wise) compared to what has
been seen in some segments of "Itchy & Scratchy", for example, on the Simpsons.
 My best understanding of FOX's objection to showing it at 7 PM is that they
fear the very specific image of Santa Claus (or even a robotic version thereof)
committing violent acts could be upsetting to younger kids who might be
watching during the early time slot.

Personally, I don't mind that it was on at 9:30, since there's a bigger
audience available at that hour, including potentially some viewers who aren't
watching at 7 and might realize they like the show.  I just wish FOX had found
a time slot for it last year instead of putting it off.
