[quote] There are still 11 episodes being produced and if ratings for both FOX and Cartoon Network Stay high they might renew the show(of course that requires fans to Watch FOX when its on there network and to email, spam, mail, hunt fox executives with an m4a1 with 40 clips, and other such things to make fox realise the show is good) after all the good ratings Cartoon network is getting because of it im sure Fox is regretting there descission to cut production for a while. Also there will be a Futurama movie in 2005 regardless of whether its cancelled after this year or not. (NOTE THE AFTER NEXT YEAR PART) so now i leave it to you the fans to save the show. BTW posting here doesnt help you need petitions emails snail mail phone calls ect. ect. to save the show AND Fox does not hate Futurama, they hate the fact they cant control it, you see Matt Groening wouldnt sell them all the rights to the show they wanted to change the show EXAMPLE they think Bender is to mean and want to make him more kid friendly. Matt Groening thinks ever since he sold the rights to the Simpsons that they ruined his vision and hes right the last 3 seasons of the Simpsons have been REAL BAD. Futurama should be the Simpsons replacement the Simpsons have been on 10 years and has been manipulated by Fox to the point to where it is garbage.
In short do what you can to help get the show renewed.
Nothing is getting this show renewed, guy. It was cancelled LAST YEAR and the remaining episodes left to air have been finished for a long time. The cast and crew have long moved on. The show is a ratings loser on FOX and CN cant afford to spend the money to make new episodes. And e-mailing and (worse yet) spam mailing FOX isnt going to do a damn thing. Live with it.

You forgot "and making up quotes at your whim without even providing a fake source to sound even remotely credible"...

There are zero episodes currently being "produced", and only six episodes that have never been aired. Assuming "11 episodes being produced" means "11 episodes yet to air", the original quote would be from between 1/12/03 and 3/2/03.

Considering that, even after seeing the CN ratings, Fox replaced Futurama with Simpsons reruns (and, when the Simpsons reruns were moved when The Pitts was pulled after something like four episodes, with King Of The Hill reruns), I don't think Fox is regretting anything other than sinking money into The Pitts.

I think it's safe to say that, in light of how much money CN lost with The Powerpuff Girls Movie (something that sounded like a sure-thing hit when it was first announced), and in light of Fox's history with animated movies (does "Titan A.E." ring any bells?), a Futurama movie isn't about to be made by anybody.
--------------------------------------------------- Don Del Grande, del_gra...@netvista.net At least Futurama DVDs get audio commentaries for all of its episodes, unlike a couple of shows I can think of (coughFamilyGuy coughSouthParkSeries2)
wtf, how does it take 3 replys mostly full of shit to get to...

and so, the 'non-risk-taking' Fox network goes and comissions a Simpsons movie... WHY?

The PPG do not have the same following as the Simpsons.
The simpsons are huge, and it has proven over and over again, it can move merchendise.
Now, there is always a risk, however, when you look at thing historically, you can pick a lower risk move. Consider that NOT having a Simsons movie is also a risk. So they feel that the risk of NOT having a simsons movie is greater then the risk of beginning to move forward on a movie.

A Futurama movie need not be released in the theatres. It can be released straight to DVD and marketed to fans and a few others at a reasonable profit, just like the Futurama TV boxsets. This being the case, I don't think we'll see anything besides the Futurama TV boxsets.
