Im not sure on model #'s but I think most SONY and most over $250 will
play them. Check a consumer electronics page. They would have lists that
tell you what each model can do. But little tip, I hear Play Stations
(the old ones not sure about the PSX2) will play CD-VIDEO but I don't
know about off of a CD-R.

The Playstation only plays VCD video with a $99 expander thingy. But, I
will engage my senses in DVD player hunting.

#### the only DVD players that i have come across is Sony DVS-300.
i'm not sure if it plays CDR but i use CDRW and it plays well, and i can
rewrite that disc when the next episode comes out, very convenient!

if you're keen, try burning one VCD, and bring it to the
stores where you can test those DVDs with your CDR.

I've been horribly missinformed.(I don't have a PSX so I couldn't have just
tested it. Word of mouth is evil) Is it a Sony add on or do you mean the oh
so popular MOD chip? And how about the PSX2? I'm guessing since it's a SONY
DVD it will.

I've been able to play homemade VCDs on my Aiwa XD-DV370 without a
problem.
