The two new Southern Style Chicken menu items provide great-tasting
options for chicken lovers and feature a juicy, perfectly seasoned,
all-white meat chicken breast patty on either a new biscuit for
breakfast or a steamed bun topped with two pickles for lunch and dinner.
Southern Style Sweet Tea is served ice cold, fresh brewed and sweetened
to perfection in a special cup that keeps your sweet tea cold all day.
Just in time for summer, McDonald's Southern Style Sweet Tea is perfect
for something refreshing, crisp and different.
"We're pleased to welcome, Sandra Lee, as our special guest, to
introduce the significance of McDonald's new menu choices to the New
York Metro Area," said Paul Hendel, president of the McDonald's New York
Tri-State Area Owners/Operators Association. "Ms. Lee's knowledge and
expertise shed light on why chicken for breakfast or Sweet Tea has an
important place in southern culture. To thank her for acting as our
guest, the McDonald's New York Tri- State Owner/Operators Association is
making a donation in Sandra Lee's name to Ronald McDonald House
Charities."
In the vein of true Southern hospitality, McDonald's is treating its
customers with a chance to try the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit for
free from 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., or a Southern Style Chicken Sandwich
beginning after breakfast hours until 7:00 p.m. on May 15, with the
purchase of any medium or large beverage at participating restaurants
(while supplies last). The sampling events in the New York Metro area
will give customers the opportunity to try chicken for breakfast and
decide what they prefer to eat first: the chicken or the egg.
McDonald's provides its customers with convenient restaurant
locations, many with drive-thru service and great-tasting menu options,
including the new Southern Style Chicken Biscuit and Sandwich. The
Southern Style Chicken Biscuit is McDonald's first-ever chicken
breakfast menu offering and continues the company's legacy of breakfast
and menu innovation, following the introductions of Premium Roast Coffee
and the McSkillet(TM) Burrito.

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.

carrots out of a can

wtf?
then instead of soda, she makes the 'healthy' alternative. She buys a
smoothie, makes SUGAR WATER through a complicated process, and pours
homemade sugar water and carbonated water into a bit of smoothie. And
this is better than soda how exactly???
At no time did I understand what she was going for with the mac and
cheese (and why did the mac go 'crunch' when she stirred it like it was
raw?) but it sure wasn't edible.
And then she makes the entire table CANDY. My heart was racing just
watching it. Can you imagine how out of control those kids would be?
Luckily Brycer only has 2 friends that aren't related to him.

No doubt her final product had at least as many calories as soda. She
was basically adding a tablespoon of sugar per serving to the
smoothie.

Watching her stir it up made me never to want to consider buying boxed
mac and cheese again.

Hee hee. Hopefully they don't have tvs.
That whole segment with her nephew Brandon toting around the mac and
cheese made me cringe. Poor kid seemed so uncomfortable calling her
Aunt Sandy.

SLop has that affect on a lot of food items.

Poor Farkle Family nephew.

Why would you consider buying it to begin with, so long as
you had an alternative -- up to and including going hungry?
Like boiled hot dogs or Campbell's tomato soup, macaroni and
cheese was one of those cheap, nasty "quickie" foods that I
sometimes had to eat as a kid, typically for lunch during
the summer or for dinner when my parents got a babysitter
and went out for the evening. I haven't touched any of
that crap since I was ten or eleven.
Besides, the predominant brand at the time was Kraft, and
everything they make is gross. (Does anyone else remember
those pieces of "cheese food" wrapped up like saltwater
taffy that were sold briefly back in the '70s? Gag me
with a backhoe! What was really unsettling was that like
Velveeta <hurl>, they didn't require refrigeration. El
disturbo...

It's way too long? Then why did you quote the entire
motherfucking thing, after everyone had already read
it once before? And then make it even longer with
the addition of your vapid, ungrammatical, one-line
comment?
You deserve to be gassed.

Why did I click on that link? I must enjoy visual pain. I know food
photography is SUPPOSED to present the
item in the best possible light. JeeZbuS! That is one nasty potato,
and that's with a food artist
arranging it.
The poor poor photographer probably was thinking, "Four years of art
school, got my BFA, and I'm shooting
dog puke on a potato. It pays the bills"....sigh
That potato looks like the cook at my local Ram's Horn restaurant
threw it together as a joke!
-Lets see what gross combination I can stuff into that day old
potato.....
Bat-->the canned carrots are gagging me...
but but but - kids LOVE them!

On that note, I recently noted Burger King is offering Easy Mac as
one of its side dishes for kids. Really?
>this post is way too long a McD's and the food maker.
So why did you quote it in its entirety and waste our precious
time even further with that lame one-liner?
I tried McDonald's "southern style chicken sandwhich" once. It was
obviously an attempt to rip-off Chick-Fil-A's signature sandwhich.
Is it still available? I don't recall seeing any TV ads for it
lately.

Yeah. And your kid will kick you in the nuts for serving it.

Was The King kicked in the nuts? It loked like his shin to me.

I thought it was the nuts, but then I'm probably predisposed to HOPING
it's the nuts.
