Subject: The Sandra Lee Test Kitchen: Funnel Cakes
We were a bit bored today, so we decided to make one of Sandra Lee's
recipes and compare it to Alton Brown's recipe for the same item. After
some discussion, we decided on funnel cakes.

In one corner, we have an intellectual heavyweight, graduate of the
University of Georgia and the New England Culinary Institute, writer of
several books, and creator of Good Eats and Feasting on Asphalt. Best
quote: But we have science on our side, so we don't need voodoo.

In the other corner, we have the (ex) trophy wife of Bruce Karatz, CEO
of KB Home. Not a graduate of the University of Wisconsin--La Crosse
(dropped out after 3 years). Not a graduate of the Cordon Bleu. Most
well known for her (possibly stolen) idea for Kurtain Kraft. Best quote:
I have whiskey and MORE whiskey.
