Semi-Homemade potluck
Reasons I will never be a successful Semi-Hostess: 1) My boobs are far too pert 2) My back-story is insufficiently tragic 3) My annunciation, while not great, has not yet descended to the level where I’ll make something out of “strawburries” and “shremp bisk” and then declare that it’s “theck an’ retch an’ sodalishus.”... more »

The Sandra Lee Test Kitchen: Funnel Cakes
We were a bit bored today, so we decided to make one of Sandra Lee's recipes and compare it to Alton Brown's recipe for the same item. After some discussion, we decided on funnel cakes. In one corner, we have an intellectual heavyweight, graduate of the University of Georgia and the New England Culinary Institute, writer of... more »

Neeleys and the lowering of FN standard
While the end product doesn't look so bad, it is just another blatant attempt to appease the minorities regardless of talent. They really don't seem to have any real culinary experience or skills. Mostly their only attraction is what FN considers clever rhetoric. RIP FN Real cooks i.e.. Sara, Graham, Julia, Jacque, Ming etc. are missed by... more »
