My wooden model of a Firefly class ship arrived in the post
today. Picture to follow once I get home.

My day today? Nothing major, just Xenon base gone, Scorpio gone,
Tarrant dead, Tarrant alive and then I found out Blake sold us out.

Here are 3 views of the model. I sent the some folks I've
done business with the 4 high rez picutres of the firefly
class, and they quoted a very reasonable price.

It took about 7 months from start to end, but that's because
they'd never made a Firefly before. I guess they had a few
miss adventures along the way.

I may have to grunge it up a bit, it looks like it just
rolled off the assembly line.

Oh, and it is heavy, solid wood you know. Looks really
cool next to my PBY-5a Catalina!

Awesome job! Looks like the guys who made that could give Martin Bower

I commissioned it. Send the model maker the high rez renders
from the net. It took about 7 months to make, but that's because
there were some design problems. They normally make aircraft
and boats. I just inquired with pictures. I have a number of
wooden airplane models from them and other dealers. (all seaplanes)

I ordered it from builder...@yahoo.com it was less than $200.
Much closer to $100, but I don't remember the exact amount. They
offered to make it in one of two sizes. I picked the smaller one,
as that would be best for flying around my apartment making
'zooming' noises. I called it 'Serenity / Firefly', so they're
likely to be able to make more.

And if enought folks order it, they're likely to make it a
standard production item. Many of the wooden airplane modelers
now offer all sorts of Star Trek models due to the demand!

Since it is a custom model, you should be able to request a
different paint job, or what ever labeling you want. Mine
is unmarked.

It is nice and solid. A good desk display, or a wonderful toy.
