Robinson has already run a radio ad that features mariachi band music
playing in the background. "If Miller had his way," says the announcer,
"America would be nothing but one big fiesta for illegal aliens and
homosexuals."

That'll be one hell of a fiesta - the gays really know how to throw a
party, and the illegals could do all the actual work for very little
money.

The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds.
The pessimist is afraid this might be true.

I would have thought that since he doesn't like gay mariachi music he
moved to North Carolina.

I dunno, but I would have thought North Carolina would be free of
both.

Common knowledge. And at least 10% of them are gay. And 50% of them are

"The Latino population of North Carolina is the second fastest growing of any
state in the country. The US Census 2003 estimates, while an undercount, show
the population to number 466,704 individuals (6% of the total NC population.)
This growth occurred most notably in the areas of Raleigh, Greensboro, and
Charlotte. In 2004, Latinos became the largest racial/ethnic group in the
United States."

No, I don't know him. My only contacts in NC are at WSSU. Looks like
he's doing some interesting stuff.

The victim service providers in NC are having trouble because they don't
have enough translators. I guess there are few second generation
Latinos old enough to provide translating skills, so they're having
trouble reaching out to that population.

I went to grad school with him. I can't remember where he is from, but we
always had those laid-back conversations you get with international

His PhD was in Human Resource Develpment with an emphasis on economic
development in so-called third world societies. He was appointed by Governor
Hunt as liason to the hispanic community but he is now working with El
Pueblo.
