The actress has been hired to play Steve's wife when he was
in Cinncinnati -- Elena Lyons plays Della, Steve's supposed
wife in Cincinnati beginning on July 26th.

I was wondering when I was watching Patch tell Stephanie in
the Pub about needing to have someone waiting for you when
you got home if that was a precursor for "Nick" having a
wife, and possibly a family?

Odd since Steve/Nick hasn't mentioned anything about having a wife and/or
family. He just keeps saying he doesn't remember anything about his past.

Well, if they're still married, he's already cheated on Della because
he's made out with Kayla. I have a feeling this "wife" might be an Ex
coming to find him and get money or something. Who knows? Maybe it's
nothing to fret over, it will test Kayla's tenacity and drive to get
closer to him and it will work out more to her benefit than anything
else? She'll have a fight on her hands and in the end, maybe she'll
win? At least she's got Stephanie and her whole family to stand by her.
I keep thinking that Hope or Jen will be the catalyst toward Steve
getting his memory back about Kayla, however. That would be cool if
Shane came home for a weekend and it were somehow him, though. Is it
true that Patsy Pease is in poor health and will never return to DOOL?
I keep hearing that, but no one ever really gives a source...

The only source I have is from an official statement on the
DOOLEmporium (www.doolemporium.com/pmail.htm) site, announcing her
Official Forum (patsypease.tk), both of which are now dead sites (this
news was circa mid-2004). You have to use the Internet Archive
(www.archive.org) to get to them both now.

The statement read:
"Whether you are a long time watcher, or just new to the show; you will
probably be familiar with Patsy Pease. This amazing woman portrayed
Kimberly Brady Donovan for nine years, and has made numerous gust
appearances since. Patsy returned most recently as Kimberly to mourn
her lost mother Caroline, and lost brother Roman. I am very lucky to
call Patsy a friend of mine, and she has fallen upon tough times.
Recently, she has needed four spinal surgeries, that have left her
permanently disabled. She can never return to Days of our Lives now.
She is feeling very depressed. Please send her a kind note, I know
she'll appreciate it.

This just in! Patsy Pease has a new message board!! It's her official
board! You all should join!

http://www.patsypease.tk"

One of the boards on her Official Forum had a similar message.

Since then, I've heard from third parties on various message boards
that she's been through rehab and is able to make several steps at a
time, but it's still not enough for her to return to acting. I can't
vouch for these reports though.

I certainly hope she's doing better than she was in 2004.

He doesn't and also mentioned that his present memory comes and goes.
The rumors say she's a fake wife.

It would be really great if she could appear, even if in a wheelchair.
They could write a debilitating auto accident into the script. It
would also give Patsy a purpose and maybe help with her depression.

Hey, TPTB, please consider. She doesn't have to have a major role.
You could bring her back to be close to her family. But, she could be
living in an assisted care facility because of her disabilities. The
Brady's could bring her home for special occasions. I think that would
be a major feather in your cap(s).

EXCELLENT IDEA, Bonbon! It would be great if someone in power listened
to this suggestion. Everyone would benefit, and I think it would even
give the show extra publicity and a good image.

Okay, thanks! I've not watched for a week as I was on a Mexican cruise with
my sister. Guess I missed a bit more than I thought! lol

Just like when they dropped Marina on us. No mention of Steve being
married EVER to ANYONE (only the romance with Brita) and suddenly he
had a fricken WIFE. I HOPE the new writers dump this idea! I hope
even more that it's not THEIR idea and it's a left-over idiotic
boneheaded idea of JER.

I thought he meant he'd always been alone and that having someone would
be infinitely better. I took solace from that because we'd heard
previously that "Nick" had a girlfriend or wife in Cincinnati. I hope
it's a FAKE wife...like a crazed stalker or something.
