All I can say is, "Go Viktor! Go Viktor! Go Viktor!!!"

OMG, the look on Sami's face was PRICELESS!!!!

Also, the sheer fear he put into Nicole was pretty awesome, too!

Would you be so kind to tell me what he said to Nicole? Our wonderful station
decided to have an emergency test while he was apparently putting the fear of
himself into her. I could only see his lips moving and since I can't read lips
I have no idea what he said. Why on earth do they wait until the last few
minutes of the show when they have cliff hangers and something like what Victor
did today do DO THESE DAMN TESTS!!!!?????????? What is wrong with doing this
during a FRIGGIN' COMMERCIAL!!???

Sorry, not screaming at you. I think I'll go write the station now.

I'm sorry, but Victor's little "repeat-after-me" was stupid... not to mention
gross. Something about the tone made it seem like he was going to ask her to be
his sex slave. It's cool to see Sami on the other side of blackmail, to see how
she handles it, but really, as I sat and watched, I thought "what exactly is
Victor's motive?" Yes, I DO see his motives, but the whole scenario seemed kind
of pointless.
I was hoping Sami would just yank the tape recorder out of the old man's hand
and run like hell. The man's had 3 strokes; I doubt he could catch up to her!

He told her that he wanted her to see what he is capable of doing to someone
who crosses him. That if he could do that to someone he doesn't care about,
imagine what he could do to someone who he shared feelings with. In other
words, Nicole is screwed. LOL

Thank you Nay. Sorry for all the shouting. Now, since I'm fairly new at the
DOOL party, what does Victor have on Nicole? Do they have a past together? Is
there a link to a history of the characters on DOOL?

I kinda had thoughts on that same line. However, I percieve that Victor is
smarter than Sami and would have copies of that tape. I wonder what he's going
to think up for her to do.

I'm pleased Victor is back to being baaaad.

He's a good actor. I wonder if his daughter's clout at NBC encouraged the
brass to get the writers to use him more and pump up his storyline.
Regardless, they're on the right track. Bravo Victor.

That's all well and good, but he DOES have copies of the tape. :^) No way
would he just have one copy of the tape.

Victor said something about Mickey and a safety deposit box. Not too sure if
that was talking about copies or not though.

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was weirded out by the whole "I want
your soul" stuff. It seemed like a mock-wedding...like the wedding with Nicole
that never was...or something. I think his motive might be just to vent some
anger because he's still mad at Nicole for some reason that *he* contrived
(kicking her out of his house was the start).
Yes if Sami had grabbed the tape that would have been awesome, and even if
Nicole or Kate tripped Sami on her way out the building and *yoink* grabbed the
tape back that would have been ok too, just too see Sami ~maybe get the upper
hand for one moment for one last time.

I really enjoyed the banter between Nicole and Kate in Victor's office, and the
way Kate tried to take control but Victor told her this was his arena. That was
great.

I totally agree with you, I wish Sami would have gotten hers in a different
way. Did Vic say Lucas would get Will in the summer? What about the rest of the
year?

It's about time the true Victor is back. Days needs another villian after the
departure of Stefano.
IMO Days is missing someone who is truly evil with a lot of power. Sami is
minor league compared to him.

Sami seems to be a very slow learner when it comes to thinking she is able
to outwit people who have been at it longer than she has. The "repeat after
me" routine was necessary for her to get the point that Victor means
business. I enjoy Alison playing the role but really enjoy when Sami what
is due to her.

EAS tests are often automated and the MCO (person in the control room) has
no control over when these are sent. For what it's worth I happen to do
this kind of thing and "I" pay attention to what's on the air.

And you will NEVER see a test run over a commercial, at least intentionally.
The advertisers are paying big bucks to have those commercials there and if
we loose even a few seconds of one they can not charge for it.

Not completely true. When our county does its monthly test, they block
out all signal on cable television to air the test. It doesn't matter
what is showing commercial or show. Unfortunately they do the test at
noon, so on those days I might not get to see the opening of Days. If
the test is sucessful it is done again. Once the did the test three
times in a hour.

The station has no control over when the cable company does it's test.
Stations can run the weekly test when they please, however the monthly test
must air within 15 min. of when they receive it from the state.

If they are doing all the tests at noon this is not legal. They are to be
at random times and days

If the cable company ran the monthly test three times then someone at the
cable company has no idea what they are doing.

Also most stations have the EAS encoder wired so that it is locked out when
the breaks are playing.
