Lexie was absolutely amazing today when she burst in on the festivities at the
Pub. Also, when she was stone-cold in the jail. Go Lexie, wow!!!

Please identify spoilers in the subject line. I won't see today's
episode for several hours yet.

he's not in any way. She didn't give birth to him, and she didn't adopt him.
And the Brady's should really be filing kidnapping charges.

Let me explain something to you, little boy. It was determined in this
newsgroup a long time before you could even read that as a courtesy to people
who didn't want to know what was going to happen (not to mention plain ordinary
netiquette), that spoilers would be properly marked in the header and space
inserted so that people who don't want to read them can pass them by.

You know, you really need to learn some manners. You are getting worse and
worse all the time. Were you raised by wolves?

Well, because he was legally adopted. And you can't use the excuse that he
wasn't the right child. The *intent* was (and intent is frequently used in
interpretation of the law) that she adoped Marlo's baby and everyone believed
that Isaac was that baby. That makes it a legal adoption.

And I don't believe Abe could have signed away their rights to Isaac without
Lexie's consent. Squeaks? Legal opinion?

Midol??? That pertains to menstrual cramps and PMS. Correct me if I'm
wrong, but I do not believe it applies in this case due to the person's age.

I think you are correct.  Lexie has adoption papers for Isaac (even thought there was a switch).  Though the judge give custody of Isaac to Bo and Hope,  the Judge still needs to strip Lexie of any rights.  Declaring the adoption null and void and establishing the maternity of the child.

>Lexie has adoption papers for Isaac (even

There could be no *legal* adoption papers for Isaac because he was not Marlo's
baby to adopt out. Marlo did not have the right (nor the intent) to give
Hope's baby to Lexie.

Had Lexie ended up with Marlo's true child, then Glen still would have won and
Lexie would still end up without any baby. That's the price she deserves for
entering into an illegal adoption where she never bothered to get the father's
approval.

Donna
My opinions might have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

JLplsSS wrote:

You have to seperate out the "switch" from the adoption. Those two things are not
combined legally. Legally Lexie did adopt a child, the child was just switched at
birth. The still has to be a true judicial process to sort it all out.

Actually there are plenty of adoptions that occur in which the father did not sign
a document and there are legal ways of doing so. In my state you must make an
effort to have the father sign, but after a certain period of time if he can not
be located, his rights are terminated and then the adoption goes through. This
didn't happen with the Glen's child, still the adoption has to be voided to strip
Lexie of her adopted rights.

As for the baby switch, they still would have to prove that Isaac is Hopes child.
We didn't see that. Yes a DNA test was run, but it was done illegally (John
forced is way into it).

With all due respect intended...

It should be deemed that EVERY post has a spoiler, at least for the current
day's episode. Now if there's a spoiler for next week's episodes, then
sure, post it's a spoiler. But everyone should assume that any post posted
that day has some content (unless going along another thread of course) with
having to do with that day's episode.

Just my $0.02

Isn't that one of the requirements for a show to be considered to be a soap?
They do not even bend or twist the laws, they just rewrite them when the
storyline calls for it. Isn't Chuckles the Clown part of the Simpsons
show???

Chuckles is from Mary Tyler Moore and I *think* the clown on the
Simpsons was Krusty the Clown, spelled with a "K", if I remember
correctly???? Bart Simpson was *VERY* enthralled and captivated by
Krusty early on in that series. I haven't watched The Simpsons on a
weekly basis in quite a while, however. It's a good show, but I've
always liked South Park and King of the Hill a wee bit better.
