He can fight Lexie for the DeMera power...or help her get Isaac back again.
He can romance somebody---Billie? Nicole? Kate (he is more her age anyway).
Kate n Tony against Victor! and...uh, who? How about Laura Horton?
He can prove to be Chloe's father.
He could be Greta's father (even though the fools let Greta leave)...and
looking for her.
He could want to ruin John.
He could team up with Sami to get Victor.
He could open a lavish new restaurant to give the Salemites somewhere to hang
out.
He could be forming a local musical comedy company---Chloe and Brady would be
naturals for this, and the staging of various musicals would make for great
"art imitates life" storylines.
He could buy a newspaper and hire Jack to be editor (I could see Jack n Jen
competing for stories and circulation!)

Also, the writers write, at least to a certain extent, to the
strengths and weaknesses of the actor. If an actor whines (like
Krista Allen), the character becomes whiny.

c'mon now. We all know Lexie's not going in jail, at least not
permanently. I could see him helping Lexie get out of her troubles
with the law, and then taking over the Dimeira empire.

Yes and soaps NEVER re-write a character's history to fit a new storyline!
Actually, the actress who plays Nancy and Thaao are probably about the same age
in real life; but Patrika isn't playing a character that is her true age (more
than 50). Nancy was very young when she had Chloe, who is now just 17 or 18
(that's why her father had the final say on the dispensation of the child). So
PD's playing a character who is 35 or 36. So Thaao would be considered an
older man to a woman of that age.

NEVER said that she was raped! They hinted at it but they NEVER actually

Whether it was or was not a rape does not preclude Tony Di Mera from being
Chloe's father. Tony proved that he was more than capable of being a creep
prior to what we thought was his demise.

I wonder...if Nancy's father...*pimped* Nancy out in order to advance his own
professional standing. I don't know how else to word it...like her father
promised some guy (Tony) that Nancy would be the guy's boyfriend...so that
whoever Chloe's father is doesn't/wouldn't view it as rape.
And I think that whatever happened, everyone was drunk at the time.
