The Canadian DS which aired from Oct 1969 to Aug 1970 has so many parallels.
MalJardin (Garden of Evil) is Collinwood. The Carribbean is Maine. Jean-Paul
Desmond (Barn) loses his love Erica (Josette). He is possessed by an ancestor
(cursed as a vamp). His mute servant Quito (Willie) gets dry ice to preserve
the recently-dad Erica. Raxl, the housekeeper and voodoo priestess (Mrs J)
warns JP to leave. Soon, Erica's sister, Dr Allison Carr (Dr Julia Hoffman)
arrives to stir things up along with her fiance, Dan Forrest (Frank Garner). Dr
Menkin (Dr Woodard) is "accidentally killed" as the Cryonic Society arrives to
freeze Erica. Meanwhile, Artiste Tim Stanton (Sam Evans) is commissioned to
draw a portrait for JP but Vangie Abbott (Natalie Dupres) finds warnings in the
tarrot cards. At the same time, wealthy Elizabeth Marshall (Elizabeth Stoddard)
is having problems with her blonde teenage daughter Holly (Carolyn) as a
minister, Reverend Dawson (Trask) takes a liking to her.

I'm in the process of preparing summaries for the series. Just finished Episode
1. Will e-mail anyone copies who is interested. Just leave a message in my box
and I'll get it to you and put you on a mailing list as I work on the other
summaries.

Sir, I would love to see your Strange Paradise summaries once they exist. But
what I would really love is to see the show again. I saw it thirty years ago,
and always felt it was the next best thing to seeing DS for that particular
sort of vibe....
