It was interesting to look around the theater. There were a lot of college age people, presumably fans of Tim Burton in general. But there were also some elderly people there. And people like me (50-ish).

When i went- the first two people in line were a couple who looked in
their 70's or so. Fans of the original, i presume. That was nice.
But there were a lot of college aged people there as well. I was
actually surprised how full the theatre was given it was a 4pm show.

I noticed the same thing, quite a wide-ranging group of people at the
movie. Younger people, folks probably in their 60s, and middle-aged
people.

It's got a lot of potential. Depp and/or Burton fans, vampire fans
(including the Twilight crowd), DS fans, horror fans, gothic romance
fans, etc.

I think almost any movie would have been in the Avengers' Shadow, so
to speak.

I went at around 9pm on last Saturday. As I said the theater was
nearly full and as Diva says, some varied demographics in mine too.

At 56 and having watched the very first show in '66 and most of the
shows after Barnabas came on, til the end, I don't think I am an
elderly old fan.

I saw it at 2:25 pm in the afternoon and the theater was practically
empty. But then the theater had the movie running in more than
one theater. For all I know the 2:50 show could hve been more
crowded.
