way OT- I had family booked on the TITANIC

the word �TITANIC� being spoken by an elderly woman, and she was telling
another old lady how their aunt was supposed to come over to the US on
the TITANIC. I realized after listening in that they were relatives of
mine, so I joined the conversation and asked about the story. What she
knew was that one of her aunts and her husband (or boyfriend) from
Serbia was set to join the woman�s parents and younger family members in
California. They were booked to come over on the TITANIC, it turned out,
but the night before the sailing, the couple got in a huge fight and
decided not to go. They wound up returning to Serbia, where they lived
out their lives, undoubtedly pretty happy that they had failed to embark
on the TITANIC, despite losing the money they�d paid for the tickets.
Wish I knew more about this story, but that�s the extent of it. I�m not
sure where they were supposed to embark at, and I�m thinking maybe
Cherbourg, since a Serbian couple might travel through France, rather
than go first to England.
Would love to know what they did with the unused tickets!

Wow, that's interesting, Vince. Sometimes things work out for the best
when it doesn't seem that way at the time. That was one fight that had
good consequences. :)

My only "six degrees" story is going to grade school with a future
infamous cult leader's son... the Titanic is far more fascinating LOL!
