-- Ken from Chicago
That's season FIVE!!!! (Crush)
In fact, I like better his "BAD, EVIL things" [that are not for
a child's eye] in that same scene.
But again (as with the Fights thread), Spike moments are simply too
many and too good to even keep track of which ones are the favourite
ones! :-)
"Hello, Cutie!" comes to mind along with the Happy Meals with legs;
as well as "err, you hit me with an ax once ... Get the hell away
from my daughter?", as well as "Dru bagged herself a slayer? Hey good
for her!!"
There's also the scene at the end of IOHEFY -- getting rid of the
wheelchair... (I know, that was just silly, but somehow that visual
has a unique charm that makes the scene worthwhile and at least part
of the top 20 favourite Spike moments)
Then there's the scene in Buffy's kitchen, with Jyce, mocking Angel
because he was not invited (and making "evil guy" faces) -- for
that matter, every single second where Spike appears in that episode
qualifies as a "favourite Spike moment" -- his whining about Drusilla
making out with a chaos demon (both with Willow and with Joyce; but
mostly with Joyce).
Then there's the scene in Willow's dorm, when he could not "perform"
And who could forget the teaser of "In the Dark" (or was it "Into"?),
Spike mocking Angel from the rooftop while Angel was helping the
girl in the alley.
Then there's his speech about how the white people slaughtered the
native people (the one that begins with "Oh, someone put a stake
through me") -- and no, in my case it's *not* the syphilis talking! :-)
Then there's the scene trying to commit suicide in Xander's
basement; and then the scene when he discovers that he can hurt
other demons.
Should we also include the scene in the Bronze when Faith (looking
like Buffy) runs into him and tells him about every single muscle
of her? (that's a tough one -- should we list it as favourite
Faith moments? Buffy's moments? SMG's moments? Spike moments?)
Probably skipping a bundle of good Spike moments, the next one that
comes to mind is: "and you have stupid hair!" (one of the most
hilarious things ever!)... Of course, along with "Out, for, a,
walk ...... bitch!"
And what about Glory's slobby ass?
And him slapping Xander out of frustration because he [Xander]
didn't remember a thing about the Glory/Ben association?
And then, of course, at the beginning of S7, when Buffy finds
out that he's got his soul back -- ersting on the big cross
and sizzling ... Extraordinarily beautiful moment!!
Carlos
--
The scene that follows ("How long were you ... where you were?") is
also a favorite Spike and Buffy moment: the actors are beautifully in
sync. But the little scene on the stairs belongs to Spike and is
extraordinary.
Honorable mentions include:
"Out. For. A. Walk. Bitch."
Spike in the car with the windows painted black, burning rubber and
listening to rock on the radio. I can't remember if that's in s2 or
later.
Fcvxr ergevrivat uvf oynpx yrngure pbng va f7.

> Probably dozens of others.
Most certainly many dozens of others!!
In addition to the dozen I already mentioned, I'm just remembering
a few more:
The ending scene of Fool for Love: Spike determined to shoot
Buffy dead, and then ending up seating next to hear, in an
attempt to console her.
This one I can't remember the episode -- I think it was the
teaser of Buffy v. Dracula, or one of the early S5 episodes
[paraphrasing]:
I will drink your blood, Slayer, I will bathe in a pool of
your blood and drink deep ... <starts walking, falls into a
hole> ... Aaww!!
In "Who Are You?" [also paraphrasing]:
Can anyone here get through those thick skulls of yours that
I *hate you all*?? The fact that I can't hurt you doesn't
mean I can point a loose cannon to you.
In Restless, the photography session (the black & white
sequences in his crypt, during Giles dream)
In Blood Ties, the scene with Dawn -- "I'm not lurking, I'm
standing about; it's a whole different vibe" and then all the
dialog until convincing her to invite him to come along. Then
of course, the "who's bad now" was a brilliant closure for that
sequence.
I'm sure we're *still* missing a couple dozens more!! :-)

Nope. That's another one. In the teaser of Wild At Heart,
Spike is captured by the then mysterious commando guys, but
the dialog goes more or less like: "watch your mouth, little
girl ...." (I don't remember what else, but he gets interrupted
by the sparkling weapons of the commando guys).
In the one I say (now I remembered a little bit more -- still
don't remember what the exact episode is) is the one where both
Riley and Spike show up "getting in the way" (the one where
Buffy says "why do I even bother to show up?"). Then Spike
tastes his own blood, to which Buffy complains and gets grossed
out ... Spike gets pissed off by Buffy's ingratitude asking him
not to show up to help her, and then, when they leave, he goes
on with very dark threats about drinking her blood, bathing in
a pool of her blood and drink deep, then he starts walking and
falls in a hole (a big hole in the cemetary)
Carlos

Oh that one, where Spike notices Buffy's sleight roll of the eyes at Riley
saying that Buffy doesn't want Spike's help in helping "them", at which
Spike retorts he saw that, that "neither boy is welcome".
That's from "Out of My Mind", where Riley still has enhanced Initiative
strength--but it's slowly killing him without further treatment from the
Initiative.

I see it as more touching than beautiful. It's hauntingly touching. All the
more "ammunition" to my theory that "the chip restrained the beast; the
superego and ego of dead William conspire to fight the id of the beast, and
yada yada yada ..., thereby explaining why chipped Spike was willing to let
Glory pummel him without revealing the secret of Dawn, and why he cried like
a baby upon Buffy's death at the end of S5, and all this even before
regaining a human soul". It could only mean one thing. The demonic soul
inside chipped Spike was losing control to the original superego and ego of
William.

replies "You know that guy on the game show where they bid on prizes" (or
something like that). One of Glory's minions figures it's Bob Barker, to

Tabula Rasa's pretty good.
Also, Spike moking Angel when he becomes a puppet is classic. Definately a
high point in season 5.

That might have been what turned me against Angel and B/A in particular
for a long time. The Angel in B/A had so little to do with the one we
actually got onscreen that I was starting to wonder what shows they'd
actually been watching.
They took a highly complex dark character with a constant undercurrent
of evil and made him into some fluffy white knight that he was never
ever meant to be.
I see some Spike lovers do that to Spike and it makes me cringe. I
mean, I love Spike, I think he's the greatest hero on the show, but I'm
not blind to his flaws. And I hate fics that have Spike as some big
patronising hero who'd never do anything wrong and has to solve all of
Buffy's problems.

The word you're looking for is 'bollocks'. Bullocks are young male
cows; bollocks are testicles. (Also a slang expression for nonsense,
as in "You're talking complete bollocks!" Also, "Giving someone a
