Poor Chloe is heading for a heartache.
She's getting deeper "in like" for "Fireman Petey".
(I thought he was an EMT, but apparently he's a fireman.**)
The other nurses keep telling her that firemen just like to play,
and she says it's okay, but it's obvious she's expecting more than that.
They were snuggling on the roof or maybe an outdoor smoking patio,
and he was talking about them going away together for the weekend.
He gets a call to go back to work. But once away from her, Pete
says into his phone that he'll be home soon, will pick up a role of paper
towels, and "I love you."
So, he's either married or living with someone.
Next week doesn't look so good for her.

** An understandable mistake. Don't know about other places, but here (Jax
Fla) whenever you call for an ambulance, a fire truck also comes, and
usually is first on the scene.

That is because, as a general rule, firefighters are EMT qualified so
having them respond first covers medical, fire and rescue emergencies.
