Hello,

I am an author of Forever Knight fan fiction. In the past couple of days
it's been discovered that someone calling themself Fortune Amethyst
Macaire has plagiarized a number of FK fanfic stories. She changed the
names of the characters (and in some cases the titles) and made other
small changes to fit them into the Buffy universe and then posted them
to various Buffy lists as her own. She has tended to use Angel and
Willow in place of Nick and Nat or Tracy and Vachon.

So far, of the fifteen stories we've located, eleven have been
identified as to the actual author and title. We know that one of the
unidentified stories is a FK story because there was a misspelling of
Tracy (as Tract) and the find/replace edit missed it. In two other
stories she missed changing Nick to Willow. The others are also
familiar to various FK fandom memebers but the exact titles haven't been
found. (One archive in FK fandom has over 2,200 stories and there are a
number of smaller archives, so you can see how difficult this is.)

Contact with Buffy list listowners that had this persons work has
resulted in all of Fortune Amethyst Macaire's works being pulled from
their archives. I cannot stress how wonderful your fandom has been in
assisting in this matter.

What I would ask, is that if anyone here has any of the stories listed
below archived on their web sites, please remove them. If you wish to
verify that they were plagiarized, all of the known stories, except 'We
What??' may be found at http://www.fkfanfic.com. 'We What??' is
archived at the FK Erotica website,JADFE, at
http://www.atlantabooks.com/JADFE/index.htm

Also if anyone has happened to have corresponded with Fortune, we'd
appreciate any assistance you could provide as to email addresses. So
far we've locate two for her.
Thanks,

Marci C. (aka Nightlady)

UNIDENTIFIED:

Drop On In : The wind blew the drapes of the open window inward.
Without making a sound, Angel entered Willow's house. He remained still
for a moment, using all of his senses to prowl the interior, quickly
locating Willow's familiar heart beat and the gentle rise and fall of
her breathing as she slept. (This story has a place where Willow is
called Tract - apparently a misspelling of Tracy that the plagiarist
missed.)

Captive Hearts: Willow was unaffected by the chorus of shocked gasps
that greeted her as all eyes came to gaze on her velvet dress. The gown
was fashionably high-waisted and hung in heavy ivory swags over a black
lace pettiskirt edged with gold. The girl's flame coloured hair was
drawn back in a simple style, her glossy tresses cascading down her
back. A plain gold chain shimmered around her neck and tiny golden
pendants adorned her ears.

Let Me Show You: Willow turned from the bed to look at Angel. For some
reason she felt shockingly close to tears, her emotions far too close to
the surface.
She could feel the tears filling her eyes, blurring her vision.
She started to look away but it was too late. Angel was coming towards
her, exclaiming curtly, 'Willow...what is it? What's wrong? Have you
changed your mind? Would you...?'

Doubtless: The morning sun woke her, slanting across the bed, warming
her closed eyelids, making her move drowsily and languorously, the
narcotic of sleep still anaesthetising her senses until she opened her
eyes and realised where she was.
Willow sat bolt upright in horror and stared towards the window. Not her
own bedroom window at home, but Angel's bedroom window. Soon to be their
bedroom window. Her throat felt tight with shock and disbelief.
