In a previous article someone asked about JMS's explination
(scientific) behind the Soul Hunters ability to "sense" the imminent
death of someone nearby. I've thought on this a little and an expli-
nation might be found in A.C.Clark's "Childhoods' End". In that book
(for those of you who aren't familiar with it) the people of Earth
were able to get a sort of premonition about the future because it
caused incredible amounts of Psychic feedback from a very traumatic
point in human evolution. So this feedback transended the temporal
barrier and was "picked up" by sensitive people in the past. Thusly
it is possible to say, if we use this line of thinking, that the
Soul Hunters have a very specific or fine tuned ability to sense
trauma that is passed back into the past, possibly only a short
distance (if time can be measured as a distance :) and act on it.

The way I've worded this makes it sound like they have to be
near to the person about to die or at least they don't know very far
in advance. I don't know if that is the case or not. We aren't really
given enough information. But I thought that I might add my thoughts
on the matter.
