With that said, I've been meaning to say something that was hyped during
the daws before the pilot aired that left me a bit disappointed. I am
talking about the painting where Sinclair and Delenn were talking about
the Japanese stone garden and how "none say it as clearly as this."
The painting in the background of the inner station was hyped up to be
one of the most spectacular shots of the interior of the station, but
IMHO - it didn't even come close. It *LOOKED* like a painting. I even
strained to see a picture frame around it. I think the same painting was
used when Jeff, Garibaldi, Takishima and that other critter (what is the
name of that critter anyway, Joe?) were in the pod talking about the
ambassador coming aboard the station when Carolyn "called". It just didn't
work, I'm afraid.
I am bringing this up again to hopefully find out whether or not a more
realistic painting or CGI will be used in the series, or if it will be used
at all anymore. If done properly, it really *COULD* be a great effect.
No, I'm not saying I could do it better, but I *KNOW* you could, Joe. ;>
Also in the pod scene, from memory, the only thing I can really remember
besides the characters and the call from Carolyn, were those restraints
they were strapped in. Neat idea, but have the restraints been made
smaller for the series or do they still take up the majority of the
frame?
I spose I can wait until Feb for the answers, then again, maybe not. ;>
Looking forward to your reply, Joe,

PS, do the Psi-Corps have a council of elders? Oh, maybe I better
put that in the thread about identification proposal. Would I qualify?
Lessee how the sig looks... hmmm

You wouldn't necessarily get haze looking thru .5km of air - it depends on
how clean the air is. Of course, with 250k people, many of them preathing
truly weird stuff, the air in the station is probably probly kinda smoggy
and smells bad.
How are the weirder alien atmospheres recycled anyway? Or are aliens that
breathe nasty stuff rare enough that its possible to just ship the
materials in? Do some of the aliens breathe in CO2 and breathe out O2?
That would solve 2 problems at once :)
Are there plants all over the place to help the air quality and make B5 a
nicer place to live? How about the garden's day/night cycle - the air will
change volume from the temperature and it has to go somewhere...
