Finally!!!

I've at long last discovered the name of that sad song that gets played
in cartoons since... well, since forever. (Or since cartoons started
playing music, anyway, going all the way back to the first sound
cartoon, "Plane Crazy".)

And I bet you can't wait to know too. ... Right? I mean, nobody here
knew before, so I assume you're all waiting with abated breath...

<crickets>

Fine! If nobody's even interested to be here any more, then I won't
bother telling you! Hmmph.

What? Was not! It was the first *silent* cartoon to have sound. After it
got retrofitted in the wake of 'Steamboat Willie's success. Maybe I
could argue that coming before first and after first averages out to the
same as first... ah... it's Disney, whatever.

And some people think those are garbled characters, but they're
quarter-note symbols. The closed-captioning was wrong when it said "’ô ".
