Well, *I* saw John Waite last night in downtown LA and had a blast.
My 8th time since last June. Awesome as always...so good, they
already invited him back again. I have 2 more shows, 2 weeks from now
and 2 weeks after that show, so I'm getting my fill of John. Love
that man!!

Glad you had a great time Tin@. I think most of us are watching a lot of the
Olympics right now, and of course The Yankees. ;-)

Ok lets go with the Olympics.... How are you watching them? Live NBC, other sports channel, DVR, summaries? There are some things I am interested in watching many are of no interest to me. I tried setting up a direct tv '"pass" yesterday and it sucked up a lot of my space with nothing I wanted to watch. The descriptions of what is to happen hour by hour are so vague I wouldn't know what hour to record. I won't watch live so I guess I am looking for ideas of the best way to record. Thanks
MJ

I don't want to have to record Everything and then FF. I was trying to narrow the recording down, just couldn't think of a creative way to do it I guess

How I've been doing it (newbie to DVR and Directv) I go to search and browse
and type in olympics then it shows the segments and times, for instance
"swimming, gymanastics, etc." so I pick the blocks I want and hit record. I
didn't do "record series" because I don't want all of that other stuff. I'm
sure there's a better way, but it works for me.

I'm using my DVR and FF through sports that don't interest me. My only
complaint is that equestrian isn't covered enough. I'm working on
crocheting a blanket while I watch and, let's just say that the blanket is
coming along nicely. :)

Susan, perhaps someone else will mention it here, but if you go to
www.nbcolympics.com you can download an app and watch the streaming video of
any sport you choose. You can also watch it at the website, if I understand
it correctly.

Last time I watched the Giants, I believe the Dodgers beat them something
like 10-0, though I want them to go all the way in the NL. :-)
