Here's a video from 2004 where Obama is proudly talking about how his
[then] **3 year old daughter** loves the Snoop Dog song "Drop It Like
It's Hot" and how cute it is that she thinks it's "Drop It Like A
Sock".

Here are the lyrics for Drop It Like It's Hot. I'll let them speak
for themselves.

When the pimp's in the crib ma
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
When the pigs try to get at ya
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
And if a nigga get a attitude
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
I got the rolly on my arm and I'm pouring Chandon
And I roll the best weed cause I got it going on

[Verse - Pharrell Williams]
Uh! I'm a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That's whiter than what's spilling down your throat
The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs
The interior like suicide wrist red
I can excercise you, this can be your Phys. Ed
Cheat on your man ma, that's how you get ahizzead
Killer wit the beat, I know killers in the street
Wit the steel that'll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat
So don't try to run up on my ear talking all that raspy shit
Trying to ask me shit
When my niggaz fill ya vest they ain't gon pass me shit
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you fuck wit lil skateboard P

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a gangsta, but y'all knew that
Da Big Bo$$ Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that's the Crip side
Ain't no other way to play the game the way I play
I cut so much you thought I was a DJ
[scratches] "two!" - "one!" - "yep, three!"
S-N double O-P, D-O double G
I can't fake it, just break it, and when I take it
See I specialize in making all the girls get naked
So bring your friends, all of y'all come inside
We got a world premiere right here, now get live!
So don't change the dizzle, turn it up a little
I got a living room full of fine dime brizzles
Waiting on the Pizzle, the Dizzle and the Shizzle
G's to the bizzack, now ladies here we gizzo

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a Bad Boy, wit a lotta ho's
Drive my own cars, and wear my own clothes
I hang out tough, I'm a real Bo$$
Big Snoop Dogg, yeah he's so sharp
On the TV screen and in the magazines
If you play me close, you're on a red beam
Oh you got a gun so you wanna pop back?
AK47 now nigga, stop that!
Cement shoes, now I'm on the move
You're family's crying, now you on the news
They can't find you, and now they miss you
Must I remind you I'm only here to twist you
Pistol whip you, dip you then flip you
Then dance to this motherfucking music we crip to
Subscribe nigga, get yo issue
Baby come close, let me see how you get loose!

On the one hand, Obama lets his 3yo daughter listen to garbage like
Snoop Dog, while chastising Ludacris about the current state of rap
"music" on the other - I don't think it's TC's intelligence that's in
question.

What would you think about a commercial like the Brittany, Paris and
Obama one......that ends with Sen. McCain (looking directly into the
camera) saying "The only thing more laughable and incredulous, for you
the American voter to believe, than how Sen. Obama has positioned
himself vs. what you REALLY know about him, would be for me to say 'Fo
Sheezy,' in a commercial (at which point, the commercial ends with
footage of his being welcomed home from being a POW)?

Especially in light of Obama's statement today condemning the Ludacris
song where he said that many of today's rap artists put out material
that he'd never want his kids or any others exposed to.

Now we find out he thinks it's cute when his 3-year-old walks around
singing a song about rolling weed, fucking, and murder.

I think it's telling that the typical cadre of liberals who usually

(except for Alric, who doesn't have the common sense to stay away).

Thy hypocrisy and political expediency on display here by Obama are

That's why I haven't bothered responding to the nominal content of
this thread or the "Obama's birth certificate is fake" thread. It's
just more of the same from the Republican diehards, who are apparently
so disgusted by their own candidate that they can't find enough
positives in him to talk about, so they have to resort to fabricating
negatives about Obama.

A fake birth certificate? *Really*?!

This is even worse than the left-wingnuts who tried to get Cheney
disqualified for being Bush's VP because he lived in Texas, too.

Of course. That's becoming the common refrain from the libs whenever
Obama steps in it: it's a non-issue.

Well, guess what? Neither you nor anyone else gets to decide what is and

How is this a negative? The man is caught saying the exact opposite of
what he apparently believes while at the same time thinking it's cute
that his toddler is repeating obscene music lyrics.

Is that a positive in your world?

But he was running for President when he contradicted his story.

It's the same kind of gaffe Clinton made about being "under fire" in
Bosnia.

Nitpicking over this stuff is petty and stupid. There are very real
issues and reasons to critique and evaluate the candidates on. Their
anecdotes are not issues.

> so it's no way comparable to yet another example of Obama saying
> whatever he thinks he needs to say at any given moment in order to gain

One could question the motivation for McCain just happening to choose
the Steelers in his story. After all, when he made this gaffe, he was
being interviewed in by a Pittsburgh reporter.

But more charitable people realize that this is just a pointless
non-issue, and is not indicative of any underlying deceit in the
candidate (nor is it indicative of an age-addled brain). He just
screwed up while telling a story. Big freaking deal.

> It's not *what* McCain said about rap that's the issue.

Indeed, it definitely isn't.

(Note to brian: This is the kind of typo/thinko that I was talking
about before. It just happens sometimes, and in this case, happened
to be very obvious.)

And McCain's story about giving his captors the names of the Steelers,

It could be the Willie Horton ad of the 2008 election. I don't think McCain
has the balls to run it, but if he does, he wins the election.

And his recent internet ad (though I don't find it terribly effective
nor clever) is a good sign that he's starting to go on the
attack....... because that's precisely what he needs to do.

The right thing is to keep Obama out of the White House. Of course, the
right thing is also to keep McCain out, but that's not stopping him.

Everyone should be as liberal as me.

I realize the polls are crap. The best example of that was when the "exit

into a pretzel in hopes of having the desired effect on the "sheep" vote.

So what would Obama do? Would he play the race card yet again and even more
blatantly? Would he show himself to be that big of a crybaby coward? If he
does, even more people will se him for what he really is, an empty
hypocritical suit who would be nowhere today if not for his race.
Seriously, the color of his skin is all that he has ever run on, which is
why he refuses to take part in a town hall-style debate and won't go on any
news shows that would ask him real questions.

If you disagree, I would ask that you tell me what some of his policies are
and how he voted on some key issues.

Depends on what show and at what time you want to run the ad. If you

That's for a single spot. I got my B.S. in advertising, so I think more in
terms of advertising campaigns rather than single spots. I'd budget $10
million; $7-8 million for television, $2 million for radio and up to $1
million for print and/or billboard spots. I'd also network with Republican
supporters and bloggers to get the spots up on You Tube and to create buzz
about them.

You are, of course, correct in terms of a complete campaign. You could
probably squeeze 2.5 million less through use of YouTube and some other
things but it would be nice to put the full pot of money to work.

We've already seen it, haven't we? It's already gone away, except in the
empty cavern of your skull. You need SOMETHING in there, and your mind
isn't adroit enough for subtleties, so this non-issue will work just fine.
You use your head like a baby rattler: it's there just to move around and

And neither do you. I'm just here to REMIND you it's a non-issue, so you
can move on to the next non-issue you won't to conflate into something it's
not.

And let me tell you something, Twitty Bird: you say you're not a Republican,
but you're definitely to the FAR right. Only a far-right nincompoop would
hop on something so trivial as this, and try to make it into something it's
not. And I don't see you hopping on anything McCain says, then kneading it
into something you'd enjoy swallowing. You're even more pretentious than
Bob Rudd.
