Okay, kids, the stats for the most prolific posters were just posted...

<applause for PHIL! yay Phil!>

But as the old saying goes, "it's quality, not quantity"...

SO...here's da question:

- Who is the MOST liked poster(s) here...???

- And who is the LEAST liked poster(s) here...???

Don't just give the names of yer choices, but the REASON(s) behind said
choices...

Don't be shy now...!!!

:o)

Thank you for the kind words, I enjoy posting the “Top posters of the

fun thread.

I think Azurespirit has to be the most liked poster in the group, I
can’t ever remember her posting a negative thing about anybody.

Hmmm the least liked poster that might be a little tougher depending
if it’s an even numbered month or an odd numbered month.

LA Flash, that was so diplomatic. I'll take the bait however--I'd say
consistently the least popular poster is Tin@. I'm sure Greg M would
rate high in this category too; but, since he usually only posts to
harass Tin@, I don't think he really qualifies. So, I say Tin@--
during the odd and even months. final answer.

That should be even or odd numbered year, IMO.

Sounds like a excellent plan to me, Itoshi!

Ok......let me ask, which one of the 8 A. I. winners IS the most
popular, or best liked of all, and which one is the least liked? This
has nothing to do with their careers, as far as record sales, or how
many of their songs made it high on the charts, but more about the plain
down-to-earth likeability factor?

It's hard for me to reach a conclusion, since I didn't start watching
till Season 5, but as for most popular among the fans, I'd go with David
Cook, or Carrie Underwood, but then what is there there NOT to like
about this year's winner, Kris Allen too? Least liked by the masses,
might be Ruben, or Fantasia?

This is a much better topic than the original.

Most likeable: Kelly. I don't know anyone who doesn't like her. Ruben and
Carrie are also well-liked.

Least likeable: Fantasia. She has a hardness or roughness about her - she
doesn't exude warmth. Taylor and David Cook also come across to me as
somewhat disconnected or uninterested.

I personally find Jordin's personality annoying as hell, but I seem to be
in a small minority there.

I'm not rating Kris because it's too early to tell with him.

"I can;" like Simon says: “get better,” my point is just because
someone is least liked today it does not mean they will be least liked

First, I dont care, but this is like the bullies in high school,
playing a popularity contest and the thread was started most likiely
by a sock, who lacks the balls to just say they dont like me, so they
do it in this infantile way and get the infantiles of the group to do

You really are a 1st class witch, aren't you, Suzy....and believe me,
I'm being very kind in the way I spelled witch! What a completely
asinine remark you made here, so because I answered Itoshi's post in
this thread saying that maybe they were the least liked of the 8
finalists...you go and make a completely off-base uncalled for remark,
making it sound like I'm prejudiced, when you don't know Jack Sh*t about
me...because if you did, you would NEVER dare even suggest such a thing!
The only prejudice I have, is for people that shoot their mouth off,
when it's not called for! You have been (without a doubt) one of the
most hateful posters here this season, and I still can't believe you are
the "Wanda" that once posted here, that I liked so well. I honestly
believe you must be her sockpuppet, and not a very good one at that!

My newsreader has been down since yesterday morning, so I just now went
through Goggle on my computer, to catch up on the latest posts, and
found your nasty post!

I said in my earlier post, I wasn't watching A. I. until the 5th season,
so any of the winners previous to that, I can only go by what I've heard
said of them, from the folks in here, and haven't heard a lot of
positive comments about either Fantasia or Ruben, like I have about
Kelly and Carrie, so I was ASKING if they were the least likeable....I
didn't state it as a fact, but oh, no...you had to jump right in with
both feet and make these stupid alligations against me, which couldn't
be any further from the truth of the matter, but you go on and think
what you want in your own little world...if it makes you feel better!

Thanks, so much, Cheri...for not doubting that accusation, because it is
so far from the truth, that it's ridiculous, and for someone to make
that kind of a remark from my post to Itoshi is beyond belief.

The one person that knows me better than anybody in here, is my daughter
RavenLord, and for sure she can verify that I don't have a prejudice
bone in my body, and I raised all four of my children to be the same
way. I have always pitied anybody that IS prejudice against another
person for the color of their skin.

Of course! Some of Judy's best friends are black! Some of them are
homosexual! AND, she has even let them come in her house before!

BTW, you just DID see Judy express something bad about black people. She
just tries to dance around it without actually saying it.

Judy, Judy, Judy. You have made it quite clear in multiple posts, that you
do not like black people or gay people. The latest is just the one you
posted about Ruben and Fantasia. Is it a coincidence that you pick two
blacks as the least liked? One of them being Ruben??? That shows you are
only prejudiced. Every black, and every assumed gay on the show seems to
fall on your hate list, over and over. Protest all you wish, but your true

I don't care if you like me, because I don't like you, at all. Not one bit.
Want to call me names, that is fine. I can call you names back. For

There, how do you like that? You give it, I give it back.

Meanwhile back in reality, Judy has praised Jordin Sparks, whom she
actually watched, on multiple occasions.

I don't like Fantasia, Ruben, or Adam either. Will you be labeling me a
gay hating racist now? How about if I also add I don't like Clay, do I
hate all gay people now? How many black or gay people am I allowed to
dislike before you decide it's because they are back and/or gay?
I also don't like Taylor Hicks or David Cook. I must have a bias against
guys with a K in their last name.
Underwood and Clarkson are good singers, but I'm not a fan of their
music. Maybe I'm a misogynist too.

Or maybe the labels you're slinging at people are bullshit and Judy just
doesn't like those particular people regardless of their color or sexual
preference.

I think her dad is black, and her mom is white, so Jordin is half n'

football player, that is retired now? Jordin is a beautiful girl, I
think, and is even prettier than when she was on the show two years ago.

I guess people categorize somebody as "black" just because one of
their parents are black? Guess I'm not very PC. I think of Barack
Obama as black because his skin is black. I think of Jordin as white
because she has white skin, same as Mariah Carey - who also is half

Interesting; how did you happen to miss all of the stories about her
dad being an ex-football player? In the early going of the show they
talked about that as much as they did Gokey's wife, they also showed

It’s because in science the "black gene" is considered the dominant
gene. So if a person has one black parent and a parent from another
race, they would be considered black.

That's the way I understand it. I think people so enjoy putting others into
ANY non-white categories that as soon as a drop of Asian or African blood is
found in their recent heritage, it's all they need to be classified as such.
Even if your grandfather was black, and your other three grandparents were
purely European, it still makes you black. To someone who really
appreciates heritage, this practice is rather distressing, because it
automatically nullifies all of the other heritages an individual may have.
Sure, I have heard some people distinctly refer to themselves as
"African-Irish" or whatever, but for the most part, once you have black, you
cease to be German or British or French.

When I think of Judy writing hate posts all I come
up with are the Taylor-hate and more recently,
Adam-hate variety. I can't think of any hate
posts she's written about black contestants. Have
I just forgotten? Or maybe it went over my head at
the time? I do know she didn't watch in season 2
or 3 and doesn't have a first hand opinion of
Ruben or Fantasia. If she was basing the
speculation that they were two of the least liked
Idols ever merely on ng and message board posts I
can see where she came up with Fantasia. As a fan
of Fantasia (at least back then) I'm well aware
that there isn't much love for her here (to put it
mildly.) As for Ruben, I have no idea how she'd
get that idea about him. The only person I can
remember disliking Ruben and being very vocal
about it is B.R. and so that doesn't really count
:-> But Ruben? What's not to like? Nice guy,
pleasant voice.

Not that long ago, in fact this season, he sang on AI. There was a lot of
criticism of him and how he didn't sing well at all, shouldn't have won
etc., He has been mentioned many times as untalented by some posters, so
threads like that are probably where she got it. I had never seen him until

When I was asking who the least favorite A. I. winners were, I WAS
basing my question on what I'd read in here about the past winners in
the newsgroup mainly, and never remember seeing anyone really praising
Ruben, or going on about how much they really liked him, and did
criticize him after he sang on the show this year. Also I remember my
friends (who were watching the show back then) being really upset that
he won over Clay that year, as seemed like the majority liked Clay and
were pulling for him to win?

Also with Fantasia, she really has gotten bashed in here, although I
remember Estelle being a devoted fan and constantly posting about her,
but then she caught it from the others for doing so, and she
disappeared. I've heard Fantasia sing, and must say, I didn't care for
her voice, but it could have just been a poor choice of song for her, as
the judges yammer about on the show!?

And also if you look black. I have a friend whose parents are from
Panama, but her skin color and her features are what most people would
see as black, so is she Hispanic because of her heritage, or black
because of her looks?

I think Ruben definitely sang better during his
season than when he visited this year. Was the
criticism of him (at any time) much worse than for
any other past Idol or runner up? I'd be willing
to say he is one of the least talked about or the
most forgotten Idols, but least liked? I wonder
though if we're thinking of least liked = most
disliked? I don't see these as the same thing,
but I think I've been interpreting them as the
same in this discussion. I don't think Ruben
stirred up strong enough emotions to be one of the
most disliked, but maybe he *is* one of the least
liked <shrug> Just thinking out loud. Damn I hate
when that happens...

I'm not a football fan. I had heard that her father had been a
football player but I had no idea who he was, let alone his race.

Nahh. Even if you didn't like Ruben's singing, you still liked him. He was
an all-around likeable guy. He got very little criticism when he was on the
show, and what criticism he got was about his voice or his size rather than
his personality.

It's disappointing, because it implies that being black is more special than
being anything else. It sort of erases the rest of your heritage. I
remember when Bob Rudd was accusing Obama of acting white. I replied that
he *IS* white!

I never considered her black and was surprised she had black in her.
Does anyone know what she considers herself?
