How ironic that Deandrea and Jessica made the top 10 last year while
Candice was cut from the round after this trio during Hollywood Week:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g00BKWraQSY

She only made the top 70 last year! What a difference that year hos
made , both in her singing and her appearance.

Watching Candice being interviewed on Leno right now. I really do
like her, and the more I see her the more I'm glad that she won. I
think what many took as her being unemotional was just humility.
Listeningi to this interview she's very personable and seems like a
genuinely nice person, as well as intelligent and well-spoken.
She's about to sing her single, "I Am Beautiful."

Although I like Kree about as much as Candice, I think this was the right
choice. Kree has already spent a lot of time in the music biz. She's been
trying to make it in Nashville for a decade (I didn't realize that the
whole reason her family moved to Nashville was to help her pursue her
career as a singer). And she's been signed a couple of times, although
for some reason or another no album was ever released.

In other words, I think the win will be much more life-changing for
Candice than it would have been for Kree. And ultimately that's what the
show is all about.

She was robbed! I think I can "see" why they didn't pick her. But
what I "hear" makes me wonder how Jessica moved on. All she did was
growl.

Yes that year "hos" made a big difference! lol I have a feeling she
did what all contestants should do, study the show.

Oh man, I missed the Leno show! I'll have to see if I can find it on
youtube. I already preordered her album!

I didn't see Kree's single until just now. Kree has a few duets on
iTunes with country artists I haven't heard of. A song called "Keith
Whitley" with Donny Fallgatter, and two songs with Chris Dozier,
"Tragedy" and "Runaway Love". All three are slow songs. You need the
right song to catch on. Even Carrie Underwood would be back on
Oklahoma flipping burgers if they didn't give her good songs.

No album was released because she was working on it at the time that her
mother was killed in a car accident. I'd venture to say that probably
turned her life upside down and threw her into a major depression.

Screw you. I won't stand for the pot calling the kettle black. You're the
one who stated as a fact that she never released an album because her voice
isn't "unique", as if that's a requirement for success.

Explain to me how what I said could NOT have happened after she lost her
second parent at 19 years old.

The unexpected death of a family member does not automatically result
in "major depression", nor does it necessarily turn somebody's life
upside down. Life goes on, it's possible to grieve and otherwise
still carry on with your life normally. I'd venture to say that's
probably how most people handle it.

One can usually find clips of Leno's show on the NBC website and also on the
Hulu website.

Here's the Friday night episode of _The Tonight Show_ with Candice Glover on
Hulu:

Seriously? "Most people" don't lose both of their parents while they're
still in their teens. I don't know the specific details of Kree's
biography, but it would be amazing if her life WASN'T turned upside down.

Thanks! Loved the part about Simon! Is he the bad guy she sings
about in her coronation song? lol I loved that song stripped down so
you can really listen to the words. Such a great message!

Regardless of how marketable a unknown chubby girls CD might be, getting any
exposure on a ratings giant like AI is always a game changer.

She's not a great talent like Adele... I personally thought her last month of
performances were mediocre..

This is interesting, zob. I watched it expecting to be reminded of
what a mistake it was that she didn't get through last year, but I was
wrong. She was completely outperformed by Deandre and Jessica. This
is a case of the judges actually making the right call, giving her the
chance to grow and develop her craft.

It reminded me of why Jessica should have been sent packing. All she
did was growl. I'd rather hear Zoanette growl. But that's okay.
Everything happens for a reason.

Jessica can at least sing on key, which is more than I can say for the person who
defeated her.

I have to say, Joshua Ledet was my favorite but P2 has grown on me.

I can tolerate P2 as long as he's singing songs he claims aren't his thing, such as
"Home." It's when he starts mumbling and grimacing through the severely limited
vocal range of melody deficient anomalies in his wheelhouse that I draw the line.

That's interesting, now you got me thinking if there is a singer that
I like their song but I don't like seeing them singing the song, huh
I'll be thinking about that for a few days....

He was actually very sexy back in the late 60s/early 70s. I always
loved to watch his TV show back then, but he didn't age very well. Tony
Orlando was another one I loved to watch, but he didn't improve with age
either. On the other hand, neither have I ;-)
