If the race goes anywhere near Southern California I'm going to boo and
hiss.

No chit. Did they even have casting calls country wide for this show? Sad
aint it.
They should have a hundred candidates in a rolodex ready to call with
all the casting that has been done around the country.

Save the Cheerleader-
Collect the whole set.
Though many reality shows (including TAR) have open casting around the
country, most reality casting (and I'll be this includes TAR) is done
through "reality agents." The same is also true for those commercials you
see that feature "real" people. As someone else observed, I suspect that
TAR has a huge backlog of eligible contestants who are ready to go and just
waiting for the telephone call. If TAR12 is a hit and CBS orders a TAR13, I
suspect the producers could get a race up and running in plenty of time to
be on the January schedule.

Well according to sources, they filmed in July like they always do.
I'll bet that after having done 11 TARs, they have a big backlog of
locations with potential roadblocks and detours lined up as well. They
probably just need to start making calls and perhaps a few trips to
get permission to use sites on particular dates.

Guess again - EIGHT teams from California. W-a-y too many. What,
there's no other area in the country that has PEOPLE?
How disappointing, especially because many Californians aren't exactly
the typical U.S. citizen (as one would think of "typical").
