We think of color television as a recent invention, but the first time color
was shown on a TV screen was in 1929. For a while you could buy an accessory
for your black & white TV that was a see-through plastic cover. It was blue
at the top, green in the middle, and brown at the bottom, so it would seem
that you were seeing many scenes in pretty much the true colors. - from
